imo this would be a terrible draft to trade up, there is barely any difference between the #1 & #4 pick because the talent is so even at the top

I see OKC trading picks with Hawks for 1st pick to get Sarr and Pelicans trading Ingram and picks to Houston for 3rd pick. What would Wizards trade 2nd pick to Spurs for other than #4 and #8 picks? Spurs should hold onto either #4 or #8 and not give up both just to move up 2.

14:30 You're wrong Sarr always played 4 not 5. His help D is deadly at 4 They would fit very well, both are unicorn type of big. Risacher at #1 is a reach... He'll probably just be a roleplayer 3&D (hope for more but I have my doubts)

Risacher will be like Manu if he was 1st round and started instead of coming off the bench. He is not your typical 3&D player. He just only turned 19 in April. I think there's a good chance the 1st 4 picks get traded because the top 4 picks are probably worth trading for in this draft.

@@JoeyAustin-ul1qb Risacher is really not athletic as shown in the draft combine. He don't have the crazy self creation like Manu or flexibility of the hips and not even the ball handling (In fact the Manu comparison is pretty bad).

@aspleen1102 you don't know Manu if you think that's all Manu was. Also, Manu was 25 when he joined the Spurs. Risacher just turned 19 in April. You probably have not watched him play other than a few short highlights and think you know what type of player he is already.

Only reason for making a trade is that I have no confidence in Wright and front office. The current team aside from Wemby is so dysfunctional with Keldon, Sochan, etc. that nobody is a pure shooter. Need to make the draft idiot proof and go for one candidate that can shoot and defend with some size. All these shooting projects will remain projects as Engeland is gone. Castle could be a Justice Winslow type player average at best or he could learn to shoot if he truly worked on it like Kawhi did. No way I want Topic. Cody Williams or Risacher would be my choice

Many of of us out here in cyber land have great confidence in PATFO... All of the people that are bemoaning the loss of Chip Engeland as one of the greatest shooting coaches in NBA history are being a bit hysterical. Perfecting shooting mechanics and jump shots is not rocket science. There are many NBA ex- players and people on the Staffs of various teams, including the spurs that can coach a player up on the perfect mechanics for shooting and jump shooting that aren't named Engeland. If nothing else, they must have hours and hours of footage of Chip coaching different shooters so none of the knowledge he possessed has been lost. Spurs current staff is well able to coach up any and all of their players to become much better at shooting the basketball.

@@ljgittingeriii3199 this so called fans are hyper critical to the front office where this team is in a good spot for years, of course the rebuild will suck and this team needs to play together to improve. Brian wright is always blamed for his decisions where his only wrong move is drafting primo, but i still get why would he draft him because if he properly developed and without those off court issues he would have been a great piece with wemby, because he is a big guard who also can play defense and shoot 3s. The sochan pick which is a reach for some is also a decent pick for my opinion be cause sochan can be a point defender and loves to play defense the potential of sochan is way better than some of the draft 2 yrs after his initial draft and he is only 21.

Just look at 2019 draft and tell me with 3 first rounders how the front office screwed the franchise up! Šamanić , Weatherspoon and Keldon J! Ever since Sam Presti left front office ability to gauge talent is gone. Keep in mind even if Vassell looks like a good pick the better pick for anyone watching Big 12 ball was Tyrese Halliburton who got picked after Vassell. If we’re ok to risk a 2019 draft then stay with 4 and 8. Aside from Wemby the last great draft pick was Kawhi. If we can find someone with size, D, gym rat mentality to improve shot then go for it but it is a risk. Outside shooting is a must in todays NBA and Spurs have almost none currently. You need to find a path to making 15-20 3’s a game

@@goodhair420 Yeah, especially in this year's draft! Say next year, we get our own, Atlanta's, Chicago's (top 10 protected) and Charlotte's (Top 14 protected, highly unlikely) and 3 second rounds, we do anything in our power to trade! We can't possibly draft all. With saying that, maybe we trade some of those with our 4th pick to move up and draft say 2nd or 3rd, with our 8th.
