Should the UK ramp up defence spending? Feat. Narinder Kaur & Cristo Foufas | Jeremy Vine

Foreign Secretary David Cameron has said the UK must boost its defence spending in response to threats around the world.
Between 2020 and 2025 the defence budget will have increased by £24 billion - the largest increase since the Cold War.
BUT Cameron says this still isn't enough and wants to see even more set aside for the military.
As a member of NATO, the UK aims to spend at least 2% of the national budget on defence - but some countries like Poland and the US spend almost double that.
Should we be doing the same?

Narinder just likes being contrary. I disagree with war but that doesn’t mean I disagree with defence measures.

Defence budget needs to be seriously increased. Stop sending money to Ukraine and Israel. Britain needs to come first .

@@mk-mt3fy Personally im not comfortable with the way the Israel government treats the Palestinians but there have been attacks from Palistinian territory into Israel for years too. There is plenty of wrong doing from both sides but Hamas and others MUST accept they cannot kill all Jews which is their stated aim.

Why is Narinder Kaur giving her opinion (shouty, loud, over-talking) on UK Defence. Best left to military people who actually know what’s going on. She seems to really hate UK and bashes it whenever she can. She isn’t capable of a reasoned sensible argument. Switching off because I can’t listen to her blithering on any more.
