Not as simple as people think on the surface. Emery came to Villa in the first place because they promised him power no other football club could. Currently at Villa, he has power to sign whoever he wants and he has the power to hire whoever he wants. He’s on the biggest wage in the clubs history by quite some way, has an incredibly long contract and Villa have a 4 year partner ship with his the Spanish Clubs he owns. To leave for a club 9 points below Villa, which would give him by far less control than what he left for in the first place at this stage would be downright stupid to be honest. Man United would be probably the last of the top 6 clubs he’d leave for, even if he was to somehow leave this season though.

Alot of sense there mate however you've got to imagine if United said well triple your wage and buy 4-5 of his signings and other incentives i.e a similar connection with his club he'd have to consider it. In all honesty where do villa go from here ? United on the other hand at least have a better chance as a club to get back to topping leagues

@@jackshaw2701 That’s fair enough mate, it is a question of money or pure power in his mind. But on the where do Villa go point, on current points, they go to the champions league which isn’t the case for United. I’m not saying they will do, but before Villa’s massive injury crisis this season, Emery had them 2nd in the league, one point off top having just beat Arsenal and City. A crisis Villa haven’t even recovered from yet. With a club like Villa who are incredibly rich in their own right, you can’t say it wouldn’t be stupid to abandon that and join a completely different project to what he wanted two years ago when currently United are in a worse competing condition than Villa

@@AlistairHamblin I fully agree with you there I just think realistically villa aren't going to win the league. Youve got to remove city, Liverpool arsenal,spurs and eventually Chelsea when they pull their finger out. What emery is doing is quite amazing however realistically they would take this seasons results i.e top 4 every single time. Whereas man utd do have more potential. But yeah I agree mate There's no way he's daft enough to leave villa he's doing fantastic but he would be especially dangerous at utd

Reasons Emery will not move to another English club. 1) He has full control of Villa, players, coaches and Directors, eg. Monchi 2) NSWE Co own Real Union with Unai, the club his father and grandfather played for 3) Villa's system is now entirely moulded to him, the players know the system and the youth teams play his style 4) The fans are 100% behind Unai at this point, he has almost unlimited credit and trust from the supporters which he wouldn't get from the sky 6 clubs that lose patience in no time 5) His style doesn't work with high profile superstars, his approach is meticulous and orchestrating. The players he had at Arsenal and PSG saw themselves beyond the need for Emery's meticulous tactical changes 6) Villa are, and have been statistically (and now based on the table) for 18 months the 4th best team in England

I think Ben is underestimating how much Villa have invested in Emery they are investing in a club he owns in Spain his son is in the youth team. Emery has basically full reign at the club which he’ll never get at United and I bet he’ll already be earning a massive amount I don’t think United could just easily triple his wages combined with the ridiculous amount Villa would demand for him to leave and especially considering they are building a new stadium it just seems very unlikely he would leave. Also United will likely finish below Villa and he can create a legacy there and could be remembered for years to come if he goes to United he’ll just be another United manager overshadowed by Fergie.

I agree with many of the comments that Emery wouldn't go to MU I think it's a suicide position. I'd just like to ask, why don't you film the whole pod and put it on you tube? I don't use spotify so it would be nice to see each show in its entirety.

Villa have given the guy everything he wants, his son plays for them, they’ve invested in his home town club, he has full control. Wouldn’t get that at OT, and you don’t get the circus that follows you like Goldbridge…

Seriously, you guys, and many like you, keep propagating this Man Utd are so special crap. They aren't any longer, they aren't the team they were, they can't even lay claim to be the best team in Manchester. Move on and talk about other teams.
