With respect to the history of that , it has nothing to do with the opportunity that present day youth have. I’m very logical and educated. Mom grew up in DCFS, she is a doctor now. I was born epileptic and had seizures till I was 11 twice a week and at 9 got diagnosed with Myastehenia gracvis. I joined Army and served to pay for school. I traveled. I partied. I was always productive. I just had my first child at 32. It’s a boy!!! He is only 1 and has 13k in his name. I grew up on the Southside. Dad was never there. I visited and began relationship in teens. I’m not arguing the Black struggle in America. Systemic racism and police brutality are real and I’m scared as a black man everytime and my record is clean as a whistle. But my point is , life is about choices. We all don’t get a fair start. Endurance is key, for it shows the will to survive. Equality is a dream if not a illusion. One has to work hard to get what they want. I’m 34 now and a new father and I look forward to the journey. No one owes me anything. But in terms of acknowledging history and the wrong doings of the US that is another chapter.

It's disappointing because she could have been a true black conservative advocating for black people but instead she just a bootlicker. Everything I said is true. She has dodged debates with Kyle Kulinski, she said that the Southern Strategy isn't real and she says the Nazis were left wing (both of these items are well studied by historians and she is incorrect). She also said that she doesn't believe in protecting the environment on Joe Rogan's podcast. We need a true independent that is not a Democrat or Republican. Someone who thinks for themselves and looks for the best options for black folks. Candace is just looking out for her wallet unfortunately. I have never heard get suggest any policy changes or advocate anything for blacks other than "leave the Democrat plantation", which is a terrible thing to say to black people.

Owens and her ilk say that it is Democrats, Liberals and blacks themselves that are the cause, this, coming from a black woman is manna from heaven for white folks because they would be labeled as racists if they said this and of course many of them believe that black people are the sole purveyors for their own vicissitudes; having Democrats and Liberals thrown into the mix was just an unexpected bonus. Martin and most other pragmatists understand that history plays a part in all things and that the reality of being victimized and being a victim can be mutually exclusive. Of course blacks have been victimized in this country, the reality and truth is that we do not have to remain victims.

I see more and more coming on shows and starting shows. I know Larry Elder is one of the originals. Here is the thing. Racism, discrimination, slavery are all real. They all either happened or continue to happen. But I think in today's climate, a black person must make a decision(in their mind) to go out and make it. In whatever field they choose. To sit around and say look at what happened to my grandparents does no good. Or to say some white folks still hate us again does not good. And the gov't can't legislate the hatred out of America. If I were a black person in America. I would tell my kids and grandkids to create a mindset and go make it happen. This is a pretty good time to be alive as a minority.
