There are actual dual language programs in some schools. The children are taught in two languages from kindergarten & master both quickly.

When I worked at a daycare after college almost all of my 2 year olds knew a second language, either Spanish or German fluently. This kind of stuff happens all the time. And that was in Vermont.

He learned English through school and he speaks it just as well as a native English speaker would, whereas his mom can speak it with a bit of difficulty since she learned the language as an adult

we literally have unfortunate cases of children being severely abused a neglected thru their developing years and if they dont learn those things we normally do when we are babies to preteen then we basically cant re learn them. cases of kids raised by wildlife, an abused girl that was literally strapped to a potty chair for her first 9 years. they never learned to talk and act like typical human behavior. then the flip side. adults that have strokes or other brain injuries have to literally dedicate months and years back to re learning motor skills. in our youth our 2 jobs are to grow physically and mentally
