On a whim, I bought a 19* Cobra one length hybrid and it has been amazing for me. The 7 iron length gives mega confidence. It’s great on tight driving holes, off the fairway, out of light rough, or even as a chipper with its short shaft. I don’t play any other one length clubs, as I just don’t want a long pitching wedge, etc. But the hybrid has really been a huge help for me. Highly recommend people give it a try.

Brilliant review. I’ve been toying with getting myself a driving iron (DHY), as I’ve lost all confidence in the hybrid currently and just see it going left. Granted that’s more user error than club, but at least it’d give me versatility at the different courses I play. Great video 👍

Great explanation. Looking for something I can hit off the tee when the driver gets too wild. I've got distance to spare and hit the ball very high. The driving iron is what I was leaning towards, this seems to point towards that as well. Thanks!

Was at 18th Senior Open today at tee off…of the 90 professionals I saw tee off, about 5 only used a driving iron - the rest mostly 3 woods or some drivers. A few hybrids and 5 woods. @Gleneagles

Just to add one other dimension people can consider too. And that relates to the shaft. So for example I have a hybrid 3 but set at 4 but with an Aerotech steelfibre shaft. As a result I get the benefit of the hybrid but am able to keep the trajectory down more compared to a more flexible shaft (torque, kick point etc).

Hannah, what is the loft of your lowest numbered traditional iron in your bag (for example, you might use a 5 iron as your longest traditional iron, which is ??deg of loft)? You and I have about the same swing speed, which is why I like your channel, and one reason I'm asking. I carry a traditional 5 iron with 26deg of loft, and probably half my shots with it are lower than I'd like. I probably should use a hybrid 5.

I use the T200 iron with 25* loft and then I have 6 iron down in T100S! I use a more forgiving head with more ball speed in my 5iron but yes 5 hybrids are great options too!

Hi Hannah! What swing speed gave you a carry of 185 yards with the Dhy? I'm trying the Ping crossover at the moment...same club same issues! Nice review!
