So are RC crawlers the majestic powerful beasts of the RC car world or just slow and tedious vehicles lacking in fun? We find out here in my in depth and unbiased review of this popular RC genre.
Don't be offended if you are a crawler enthusiast, just a little bit of fun although I was genuinely trying to see if I could enjoy my Axial Yeti as a crawler.
Many thanks to -

Nice bit of tongue-in-cheek humour there Pete! Enjoyed the fast footage of your cars and slow footage from those other great channels! Good on Derek for taking the Captain Slow puns. You know I do enjoy a bit of crawling now and then, but even my faster cars are slow compared yo yours! 🤣🤣 Great idea for a video though, just the thing to spark thoughts and conversations! All the best, mate! 😁👏👍

Hello mate. You know I don't mind the sort of medium speed cars, so long as they can slide around a bit. Also if you have a few of them and you are racing then they are fun. It's just that the crawlers that I can't get on with and the lack of good locations around here doesn't help. Glad you enjoyed the humour. Yeah hopefully it will provoke a reaction, good or bad! Cheers for watching and your great feedback as ever my friend 👍😁

Hejsa Pete! Uhh, enjoyed that 😅 I’ve had the same feeling with ‘crawling’. But I do enjoy Trail Trucks. Going slow. Following an easy path. No hard climbing etc. or diff difficult rocks that just make the truck look clumsy. No. An easy path. Filming. Enjoying the scenery. Enjoying the looks of the truck. That’s what I use my ‘crawlers’ for. Relaxing. You should try it. … uhh, laughed at that very very slow crawler-video you made. And I actually think Derek has 400 crawlers 😅 But he just makes brilliant videos with them. Trail trucking in Holly hill more than clumsy-crawling. That’s what I like. But just love your humor ☺️ Best wishes and thank you for speaking out.

Hiya Mikael. Oh yeah I didn't really differentiate between crawlers and trail trucks. I did quite enjoy my CC-01 when I had it. I just enjoy blasting around when it comes down to it and luckily we've got a few wide open areas to use them. Oh poor Derek got the Mickey taken out of him on this. I did ask first 😁 Anyway many thanks for your kind comments and getting involved in the discussion my friend. Best wishes to you 😁👍

oranges and apples. I enjoy bashing a brushless monter but also slow crawling and perfect low speed control with a basic ftx ravine slightly modded. I feel rc crawling is relaxing, challenging and perfect to do in a natural park without disturbing the nature (you cant do that burning tires on a 1/10 70mph rc car)

Hiya Nick. Oh yeah it's a fair point that the bashers get broken more often due to the high speed crashes. The cost of a crawler seem to be hundreds of pounds and very expensive to get in to which puts me off. I think I would like a mini crawler over a full size crawler because of a lack of terrain where I live and I could make a challenging course myself which may also be fun. Some RC fun from home would be nice, playing with a mini crawler whilst enjoying a pint and some banter. Thing is, even a good mini crawler gets to £250 once you do mods and upgrades pretty easily and in my situation it isn't easy to decide on dropping that much coin on a mini RC.

HPI Wheely King, Remo Hobby Batman, Remo Hobby 10275 (with electronics for more max speed), traxxas bandit and wltoys 144001. Love them))))🥰 Thanks for your thoughts
