Honestly i disagree with no multiplayer being a con. Not all games need multiplayer, and i see it as an extra feature that takes time and thought to put in. We are not entitled to multiplayer.

I’m not even a fan of platforming. Or metroidvanias. Or souls like games. But this game.. this game is so much more than all of that.

i feel like you should have said more about the charms and the combos you can get with charms there are also many mods like the hkmp(hollow knight multi player) the point mod(guns) the healthbar mod(ads health bars which i think are very much needed to give you some hope to know that a boss is close to death) also there are the custom boss mods which are very cool and the randomizer mods for a weird experience

This can either go two ways: 1) You buy the game expecting some sort of Super Mario thing and get disappointed once you get lost in Greenpath, or you are in for the exploration but lose your temper after dying to a "SHAW!" for like, the 20th time. You then rage quit and go to be a Zote on Steam reviews. 2) You're a skilled player that's in for a beautiful experience and will only have minor troubles along the way. Or, you are a stubborn noob that decides to push through despite clearly not having the skills to do it, like me. In that case, your first run will be pure hell, and by the end of it you'll have no voice to cry suffering. But then the game will finally click. And if it does click, it will most likely become your next obsession and leave you craving for that damn sequel. Side effects include: - an intense fear of buzzsaws - a somewhat weird instinct to sit on every bench you see - addiction to Christopher Larkin's music. DLCs side effects include: - an even more intense fear of buzzsaws - a constant, seemingly unjustified worry about the floor vanishing - heart failure and PTSD every time you see the sun

This is a total no brainer. If you like a metroid style rpg in a cool fantasy atmosphere and the most exquisite soundtrack, just freaking buy it you will not be sorry

Came from metroid dread to hollow knight, I'm not 100% into this yet. Killed 3 bosses, which were easy, the difficulty is how lost I feel right now. I bought the compass, and the quill or whatever, but I must be missing something else because my map stopped showing new data.

You have to sit at a bench in order for your map to update. Don’t be scared being lost is part of the fun. If you have any more questions don’t be afraid to ask

@@ahmedaffiliate5769 thanks for taking the time to try and help!! So I stuck with it, and now I think I'm close to the end, I think, lol. Killed hollow knight and a load of other bosses, some dream ones included. Really an addicting game. I think blasphemous was a little more difficult, save for a few hollow knight bosses. Def seems to be ramping up difficulty with the dlc and dream bosses at least.

@@bigfloyd8888 I finally beat the game a couple days ago, except for trial of fools and the pantheons and path of pain. I will Def agree with you. This game was pretty chill the first 3/4 of the game but towards the end that got a lot more difficult. NKG and Radiance were hands down the toughest fights. NKG took me a couple hours to beat.

@@GruntOrBust Hollow Knight generally puts its most difficult content out of the way of the main story, I assume to cater to people who don't have the time or energy to sink into the game and master every mechanic. IMO once you try completing the Pantheon is when the game really decides to ramp up the difficulty. I have +50 hours and I haven't defeated the last pantheon, and I've only done the easier bosses on Ascendant difficulty. I am not looking forward to trying to No-hit Radiance.

I have 5 hrs on this game and for some reason It doesnt click for me idk why I think its cuz of my first hard boss being hornet (took me forever) and the fact that basic moves like dash super dash and wall jump are things u must find and or fight bosses for as well as dying and losing geo so the reason I'm asking is cuz I've never played a game like this b4 and if I should continue playing to see if it clicks for me?

definitely continue playing it. when i first played it i didnt get past greenpath and i couldnt find any other areas and it wasnt clicking for me so it took a break. but then when i was bored i tried it again and as soon as i got into the city of tears it clicked for me and now ive got like 120-140 hrs on it

Try playing as other classes in terraria or harder difficulties, or perhaps even try special seeds such as the constant, drunk world or for the worthy

I don't know why people can't enjoy single player games and beg for multiplayer all of the time. Seems like an entitlement these days with younger gamers. They can't seem to do anything by themselves.

That is true but “souls like” is a widely accepted term in modern day farming to represent high difficulty in genres that also require extremely precise movement.

Just beat it with true ending and it has amazing music and graphics and environment with great explorations Truly perfect. Notice how I didn’t say Bosses, Combat and movement. It the weak point of the game and annoying. I can see why this game is a 8-10 out of 10. BUT I freaking hate this game, it’s so annoying and I hate boss fight in general. The last few bosses and the path of pain is headaches but people love that. Those type of people are really weirdddd fr fr …think about it. Bet they love being different lol Beat it after 50 hrs and did all bosses and DLC and I love exploring the map and seeing what next but whenever there a boss fight I roll my eyes. It either cheese 🧀 or just annoying. I would personally give it a 6/10. The bosses are the worse but give a lot of lore so people love that ugh I deleted this game immediately and will never touch it again. I did 100% or 106% just to say naww don’t play this game unless you like Darksoul games but casual turn away

I thought this would be fun went to play it because i like cuphead and darksouls so i played it One hour later i honestly felt dead inside bored out of my mind. Dissapointed i filed a refund couldnt get one because i played to long This game ruined my day :( (Cool art style at least)
