@@davepegington9066 You will find any ores on plain dirt areas. There is no grass or trees. Often there are these red barns or farms nearby. If you spawn on the island there are 4 houses and 3 farms just walk behind those houses and go a bit left. Then you should see such an area.

Agreed, this game is a blast. Runs great here, have not had a single bug or anything. Only real complaint I have is the resource cost for building. The game needs a bit of polish but that will come with time and users input as long as development continues, so far he listens.

Sheesh, I used to be like you all. This attitude is why so many games are trash now though. Look, I love a good zomb survival just as much as the next Joe and I’m not trying to yuck anyones yum, but the community needs to demand more. I’ve grown up playing every survival game under the sun and devs will straight up cut and run or worse if clients (players) don’t put their feet down. I think in its current state, the review was accurate and it isn’t worth the money or time. Personally, I like the foundation, but I’m gonna want to see more before I blindly put my trust in some unknown ‘started off as an asset flip, random early-access foreign dev game’. They won’t even think for a second to keep hyping their game and keep the money train coming in even if they know they’re gonna fold. So why should I give them the chance? Just my .02 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hiya, just wanted to mention that with the perma death setting on you not only lose your skills but also your tech tree progress. I also wanted to say that I agree with all your pros and cons but must say that I totally enjoyed my time playing the game and for $17 was totally worth it to me and I would rate it 6/10. I do hope that they are able to iron out the cons in the game and it does seem that the devs do listen to the players but only time will tell.

I"ve logged 68.6 hours on it. Some of the things wrong can be fixed easy enough. Canned food for instance going bad almost immediately. Roast meat going off in a couple of minutes, if not less. The build system takes some getting used to, but works pretty well. The new zombies aren't bad once you get used to them, but that big tall fat guy? RUN... Really fast.

I hope they plan on expanding the map a lot. I find it way too small for long term enjoyment. There are some nice POI’s but there is also lots of empty space on a small map.

Majority of the translations have been implemented and corrected. Only translations that have not been implemented so far are in the console commands that I have seen. I have fallen through the world 2 different times with a hand cart and lost the hand cart. Other than that, I have really been enjoying the game.

This is totally worth the prize, if u love the craft, hoarding items etc. Ive had very few bugs, save everytime after a loot session. It is being updated, daily. - You progress by traders teaching you skills, or by reading.

Well I am also glad I bought this game and it’s not as bad as you say it is. It being early access game what do you expect. $17 for a fun looting and base building game and the dev has been doing updates on the game.

{read to end for most important} by the time i saw this video i got a new computer to take the lag off. but there was one place that will lag your computer as its a small area with one of the big 4 leg boss zombies and a lot of the ordinary zombies. part from that i currently have enjoyed playing the game. though all what you said is true in the pros and cons, i feel like it always depends what you are looking for in a game. 4 to 5 updates have now come out. but thanks anyways. i got to see what i was looking for, the boos zombie. though how you killed it i am very interested. before i go, i found 2 errors in the video that could cause issues for you playing, you only put 1 beam on the foundation, its 1 beam per block so you needed 2 in the middle. and that you can use 'G' on the keyboard to make building more personalised and sometimes easier. though i have my own opinions on this review i accept other have their opinion, so i will still thank you for your time and the video was well set out and well demonstrated to its viewers

I think it is an ok game so far, but the bugs are crazy at times. I had a moment where 5 wolves attacked me and practically leaped on me from like 20yrds away and surrounded me. I could not hit any of them and in about 10 secs was dead. When I respawned I had a super speed buff that was kind of funny to see, but it forced me to run through the ground and everything seemed to have that same speed buff. The wolves now came back to me and killed me in 2 secs and I barely saw them move. Just warp to me and I died. Lost all the gear I just got from the police station too and that just urked me.

Thanks for that review. I've seen that two popular KZfaqrs have picked up this game and showcase their videos almost daily (GameEdge and Kage848) however this is probably more due to the constant need of new content that KZfaq and it's algorithm demands than the quality of this specific game.

This review is a 2/10. 1. Poor translations: English and other language are added all the time and pretty much fixed. 2. Filled with bugs: Not really. There are a few here and there but nothing game breaking. And certainly not for an Early Access. 3. Forced to sit at workbench: That is intentional. They DON'T want you to sit at the workbench. Most and easiest way to skill up is by reading books which is found out in the world or bought at traders spread around the world. They want to give you incentive to go out in the wild. 4. Only two infected types: Sure, but many different behaviors, like slow, fast, jumping, strong etc. Also it's early access so probably more creatures will be added. 5. Poor optimization: Sounds like your friends PC is poorly optimized tbh. I run a measly 1030 and has between 40 and 70 fps and hardly experience any other problems. 6. Stuck: Never experienced that. And there is literally a button in the settings menu you can press if you're stuck. Overall a poor review. Everyone I know and most everyone I have seen playing this game are positive and enjoy very much and is quite addicted to it. Horde night is, admittedly, a bit lackluster and over with fast, but again, early access. If you like Survival/zombie/building games then you will not be disappointed.

Why all the tps games has to handle like pubg? Can't they just make the controls as smooth as COD? Why there's always a huge delay between interaction/actions,,,just a huge detach from the player's immersive experience

I seriously don't understand the "hype" around this game. I read an article in an national newspaper wtf. They announce it as something completely new. I've played a lot of games that are like that😂 At the moment i would absolutely not recommend this game, since games like these 9/10 times will be dead in 1-2 years. There are more than enough good survival games that are in an way better state than this game. And don't come to me with "oh well the game is at it's start, the developer listens to us and changes stuff" man how often i have thought the exact same thing only to get slapped in the face with another dead game. I am not shitting on this game, it got potential, but we have to stop praising early access games the same as finished games.

Good summary. But....I'm leaning towards it is a good value and worth the cost but only if the devs continue to develop the game and listen to player feedback while doing so. So far they've been doing that. I only have about 5 hrs into the game and I can easily sink 50+ more. It has good bones (those bones being takeaways from other games) and has the potential to be a really good game. Some plot lines and maybe a few bosses would help the cause. It's EA so I don't expect it to be fantastic at this point. Not all EA titles can be Valheim I guess. I like it and feel that it was worth my $17.

Oh, Valheim. It will go down in history as one of the greatest games ever. I run the game now with 171(+/-) mods, and I can lose entire days playing.

I'm playing with a GTX 1080 FTW. There are some lags, yes but not that heavy that i can't play. So i wouldn't say the performance is that bad.

It's really not a game.. its a sandbox environment with a bunch of routines thrown in like many horror zombies games these days. There's no beginning, there's no end to the game.. its just be there and do what you like and survive. There is no character advancement just skill levels you progress in but they don't really matter since there is no story whatsoever anyway. AI will always be bad since there is no way to improve this for the makers. Having said that, I like the building and scrounging even though the housebuilding is overly complicated. Keep ur expectactions low and buy it on sale, then its worth it. Not at the regular asking price. 'Games' like this are dangerous close to a cash grab though since they can't deliver what they suggest... ever. (just like Mist Survival and games like it)

The game looks interesting, but there are a number of odd and suspicious things I keep finding when I try to research this game. For one, in the Steam reviews I'm seeing duplicate reviews where they give immense praise (followed by a "Eh, it's cheap and fun" or a "This is broken garbage"). And also people who are very hostile to anyone who wants to know about the developer in the Steam discussion board. I don't believe this is a scam game like The Day After, but I do believe there are people being paid, or bots utilized to shill the game which is pretty damn sketchy.

@@pcraft8785 From what I've seen in the little I looked up about it, it really appears so! I can't think of any explanation for copy/paste reviews and other odd behavior. I left a polite, inquisitive message on one of the duplicate reviews and they blocked comments within about 5 minutes.. Makes me wonder how far they will go to push the game and also pushes me away from wanting to try it

thank you for your truth words, no one should buy a game because "it is very cheap" and excuses himself with "It is Early access of course it isnt done yet!!" thats the stupidest think i have ever hear, literally everyone on Twitch who plays it says the exact same thing. I See things differently the whole Early access think should be something like they have something in definition of ready and give the people which buy the game the opurtunity to try it first, meanwhile we have the phenomenon that every indie dev firstly publishes an so called "Proof of Concept" and if they generate enogh income with it they are most likely to abandon the Project or dingleing around for 10 years to implement the real game.... so guys dont waste your money on things thats not exist yet. sry for my poor english.

Gotta be honest it looks like it doesn't have an identity of its own. A lot of features, menus and other things from a lot of other games, stuffed into one. It just doesn't "look" good overall. Maybe that'll get polished futher down the road. I'll hold off until then.

Not really fair to rate a early access game to ones such as dayZ or 7days. They have been updated immensely since their early days of release. I will however agree with your pros and cons but if your basing it from those examples I think your being a bit harsh.

This opinion is crap, i play this game a lot and my pc is old i have no Problems what so ever, yes there are bugs - hello early access! to be expected, but they fix those bugs really quick. there is a get free option if u are really stuck. its worth the money for sure.

Theres a big issues with Early Access games. Too many people think its at full release and jduge it so and the game dies because of it. Good example of this is Breakwaters.

I've got over 3k hours in Scum. I agree Scum has it's problems. Imo Scum looks a lot better, the guns are better, the cars even in the state they are now are better, Trees regrow, I like to build larger bases so that's important to me. Scum pays attention to the small details unlike NOS. Even driving down a gravel road. After saying that there's a whole lot I like about NOS better than Scum. The supports and preformed roof pieces. Being able to build stone without having to upgrade to it. I really like all of the smelters and crafting tables. I like crafting ammo a lot better than in Scum. I like being able to craft my car repair kits, medicine, the power options, the new buildings for NPC's are really nice. I love the greenhouse and the way it's setup. I got to hate my garden in Scum so bad I didn't even plant one after .9 came out. The cooking is a lot better in Scum now. I still like the cooking in NOS better. For some reason I still play Scum more than NOS.

This game is just some Chinese garbage knockoff of a bunch of games. Even the looks of the characters feel like bought assets for a game that will be a ripoff.
