I had searched “buying plugs vs planting seeds” and this video was the fourth one that came up but when I saw “Coram Deo” it resonated within me as I am reformed in my theology. After watching several videos I see we have at least three things in common, the love of the Lord, our joy of growing everything and living in the Sooner state. I visited an amish nursery, they just bought flower plugs to fill 12 very long polytunnels! Their tunnels have double plastic covers to protect their plugs~ they are busy potting up all these plugs into larger pots. In a month the flowers will be ready for them to sell for profit. Such a great idea!

I agree. You need to balance your time and energy so that you don’t burn yourself out! The best part was seeing your beautiful ranunculus blooming! How can you even stand it!!

Love your channel....you explain everything so clearly and concisely, and offer excellent advice from experience, explaining your reasoning for doing things the way you do. You're clearly very efficient and new flower farmers can learn a lot. Love your flower cottage too. So well thought out. The way you put together your bouquets is so efficient and your IPAD point of sale is awesome.

Amen! I love growing flowers...and the end results. Never really loved all the time it takes for babysitting the seed room(laundry room at my house). I'm also focusing on the same flowers you are..and the rest are plugs. I don't do as well as you guys do selling at my small market. I'm sure you would 'hang me out on the clothesline!' Some yrs. are better than others. I do try new flowers from seed to see if I like them. The Farm store where we set up always says they put it on facebook, so my peeps know when I'm there. I'd love to have a stand somewhere like yours...and retire from the market scene. I'm gettin' too old for that. I'm 2 mi. off a state rd....I wonder if they would even consider coming out to me. Those ranuncs are awesome!!!

I'm not a fan of the color orange at all, but that orange ranunculus somehow is so gorgeous to me.

We cant Get that much variety in norway in plugs, or at least not organic, so I start all vegetables and flowers from seed. Lot of work but I can choose a big variety. We have a good supplier of organic vegetable seeds in norway, but I sure wish we had a local « Johnnys» or « geo seed» for big packs of flower seed, buying small packs of flower seeds is not economical. Toll rules prevent us from importing from other countries too. But I managed to land on my feet every year, although there are always failures every year too! I invest and expand my number of seed racks and grow lights every year, to be able to raise the number of seedlings I need every year without a green house, I start my seeds in a living room, not the one we use daily, but one that is ready for restoration soon
