I’ve had my Air 2S since they came out in 2021. This year, instead of upgrading the drone, I upgraded the controller to the RC Pro controller. It’s a better upgrade than getting a newer drone. The screen is super bright and it never dims, the drone has a better signal, you can record what your screen sees with audio, (if you hook up a mic), and you don’t need your phone to fly it. It,s not cheap, but neither is a new drone.

I just bought the Air2s because I wanted a second, newer model. This is a great intro for me. I have not taken it out yet, but I will continue to look for your helpful videos. Thanks!!!

I also feel that the Air 2S is the perfect drone. DJI just needs to do a proper firmware update to include all the latest features and nice to haves.

I’ve had my Air2S for about 18 months, my first drone. I’ve only just lately started to trust the features like active track and collision avoidance, and wow. They are game changers, I was tracking my Jeep on an off-road track, on the playback I was amazed how many times it negotiated avoiding trees. Great drone, I am hoping DJI do a firmware upgrade so I can get some FPV goggles for it like they have done for the mini 3 pro.

It's a great drone. I own the dji fpv / mini 2 and this air 2s . I still believe the best all round drone is the mini 2 .

Great video I have the Air 2s since its release and also now a mini 4 pro both exceptional drones , I just wish the air2s had waypoints in general not just hyperlapse

You got a new subscriber ;) I was thinking of the Air 2s, but went with Mini 3 Pro (just sold my air 2 a couple of days ago and bought the mini 3 pro today) I fell in love with it when I got it for testing (for content) I've just done the same style of a video for many of DJI drones, but not Air 2s. Never had it, or even used it, but seems like an amazing option.

It definitely makes sense to get an AIR 2S, as you very well pointed out. It was my main flying horse for 1.5 years. My only complaint was getting critical battery too often. I almost lost it a couple of times, but it is so robust, it always survived even after it landed on shallow river waters because of a critical battery. I'm subbing. Greetings from Montreal, Canada.

One thing you didn't mention is this drone has an ADS-B receiver that detects close aircrafts and that is so awesome. you can bring your drone down if it detects an aircraft

An artist - economically - practical focused channel? I like that! New subscriber here and I won't let go! 15 years before, I was looking into this drone-thing but at that time, the technology was not ready for my work. Now it is? Playing around with a DJI Mini 2S and a Air 2S. As a photographer who is working my way into the drone arearea, I really miss content like this. Thanks!

I have had an SE, then a Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro and just traded the Mini 2 for an Air2s. Very pleased indeed. Both meet ALL my needs both privately and commercially.

I already own a Mini 3 Pro but just purchased the Air 2s. Can't wait to get it set up and in the air. I live in a coastal area in Florida where ocean breezes are a constant and can be quite gusty at times. The Mini 3 struggles in gusty winds so the Air 2s will be great for flying on windy days and will be an upgrade to the Mini 3 Pro's smaller sensor and 8 bit color. Both great drones and looking forward to having options

Just bought one after using the Mavic 2 Pro for 5 years. Seems to be very capable on it's first few flights. Comparison to M2P 1. similar speeds 2. further distance 3. longer flights 4. lighter, smaller 5. higher resolution 6. sensor size 1" on both 7. less photo/video adjustment options 8. have to have a more powerful iPad (previously mini 4 but too processor intensive for Air2S) 9. Less controller details - can't use Goggles 10. Picture quality on both are excellent. Having the same sensor size was the deciding factor for me to get the Air2S. It was a refurb unit and was half the price I paid for the M2P.

Yes. I did. It’s got a better camera than the mini 3 pro . It’s also better in the wind and has a fan so it won’t overheat. The price is fairly comparable too.

I have to agree agree with you on all you say about the A2S, I use a couple of other drone just like you, but the A2S gives me the biggest smile. I think it’s just the overall package. Thanks for putting the video together. 👍

I agree, with everything you have presented, including the struggle. I have an m3p and know how to use it. I just determined, after extensive and exhaustive investigation, that the air 2s is my best option for a 2 camera aerial rig...ya, I'm a complete geek but not in a gas guy way.

Air 2s and the Mavic 3 Classic. The Air 2s us too good to get rid of, its still a winner.

Good video. I bought the Mavic 2s last year. I am a hobbyist and have a tendency to shoot moving objects: birds, dolphins, etc. when I go to my beach place. One issue that I ran into is utilizing the 3 battery at a time charger. It does not charge the batteries full even if they are charged overnight. I use the single charger and have better charging. The Mavic 2S does well in wind and is impressive in suboptimal weather conditions. I agree typically keep it in flight for 15-20 minutes and have gone a little over two miles away with some time to take multiple pictures of a pier. I do like the bottom sensor as I do fly close to the water to take pictures and videos of sea life.

Yes Ive got the air 2S and have travelled a lot with it and just a rucksack. I just fly it VR with Litchi your actually in the drone. I use a thin Samsung S10 for this with adapted Oculus goggles

Picture quality goes to the air 2s without a doubt, stills in particular . Mini 3 pro is the noise level closer to the subject/ talent and the dreaded CAA regulations are more in favour of the mini 3 pro. Air 2s is................ better. oh here we go again

Brilliant Vid and I totally agree about how good the camera is on the air2s but as it's take off weight is 595g the restrictions with separation distances in the UK is so prohibited that you need to get so many people and roads under your control that in lots and lots of situations it's just not able to be flow. If only the amazing camera and features were put into a sub 250g drone then it could be flown anywhere. Brilliant info tho.

Now that there is going to be a Air 3 I’m selling mine the biggest down fall of the Air 2s is the flight time apart from that it’s an awesome drone

To keep it short, it comes down to a few things except for flight time becuase that's relative. What do you do? Where do you live? Do you color grade? If any of those things require you to be pr0ofessional in any way then buy it. If you're more of just a bobbie flyer then the smaller drones will do a fantastic job for a fraction of the price. Me? I fly the drone for hefty professional work so It is still an incredible asset to me weight-wise and the quality I can get from it.

How do you handle the UK VLOS issue in a commercial situation? Do you fly with 'Article 16' rules? Does Article 16 apply for commercial use ?I bought a Mini 3 Pro 249g drone which I believe gives really good results; just no D-Log. It also side steps a lot of flight disadvantages of 250+g drones.

The answer to the question you pose is .... maybe. In the EU if the drone is not 'C' class marked then 2023/2024 it becomes a legacy drone meaning the airspace you can use and situations you can fly will become reduced....so maybe not a good invest in mid-2023 for a drone you might want to use 2-3-4 years into the future.... I am waiting for a successor drone in the Air series that would work within the EU.

I think it's a great drone but not worth the money in 2023, for the following reasons: It no longer receives any updates or features, firmware etc. Finding parts and accessories will become increasingly difficult as it's at the end of its lifecycle. In Australia, registration is required at an annual cost of $40. It would need to be the same price or cheaper than a Mini 3 Pro to be a sensible option. Mini 3 Pro mostly matches its specs and features at a cheaper price and with much less flying restrictions being sub 250g.

Is there much difference between this & the mini 3 pro?

HD is not even close to acceptable when it comes to video quality. It has not been for 5 years at least. At least when talking about professional work. For social media aps on your phone maybe 1080p can sneak by. All irrelevant though as even the crop is still 4k.
