Thank you for the detailed reading aspects review, as I look to use it as my main reader (kindle/mainly ePub/non-academic PDF). Digest feature is very interesting (there is a website that allows us to see all kindle highlights) but the ability to add our own writing to the highlighted text is amazing. Does the reader app allow (High lighting) with finger drag and/or pen as well. Is the highlight is a straight line or like remarkable not straight as in real life highlight on real book. Last is highlights above or below the words. Thank you for your time and apology for long questions.

Good video. I learned about the Digest feature (which is very nice), Robert Jensen (Alpha and Omega), and. David deSilva (An intro to...). I only want to get a device (be it Remarkable2 or A5X) to help me take notes at work (I manage numerous projects, so constantly taking notes, tracking completion of action items, etc. And I have not enjoyed using Microsoft onenote on my laptop).

Awesome video my friend and glad to see someone who would use it in the same sense of why I’m thinking of purchasing. I’m a Youth Pastor in the US who’s currently in seminary. As I wait for my A5X to arrive, I wonder if you could say more about your experience with academic journal articles in particular. I occasionally read journals with what we Americans call letter-sized pages; they often have print in two columns. I'd expect those to be challenging. But most journals have smaller pages, often even smaller than books. Are those easily readable, especially now that you can zoom PDF?

Any idea when Supernote's gonna add e-reader dictionary function? If I get me this version, will I have to buy another device to get dictionary when it comes or I'll just upgrade software version? Sorry for bothering you with Supernote customer service questions.

Hey, thanks for your comment. As for as I know, they are going to add a dictionary in a forthcoming update. So you won't need two devices. And no problem, feel free to ask away - this is a welcome distraction from work! Glad you liked the theology books! Robert Jenson's Alpha and Omega is dense and difficult to read - as most of his writings were - but reward the hard work! deSilva's Intro is wonderful.

Really helpful. I like how you addressed reading aspects as we know it is already a good note taking device. I am looking to replace my Boox Nova device, may I ask 1) Does Digest work on any book format on device (ePub or pdf format) 2) does Digest upload to a cloud or pc so we can keep it when migrating to future supernote device 3) does it allow multiple books in the reading app (like 4 books, and can cycle between them as in BooX/like book) 4)does it have have recent files/ebooks 5) does it have reading statistics (completed books/currently read books) 6) ePub global setting for fonts/margin/.. so we don’t have to apply the setting with every book we open

1. Yes! 2. I do not think so - it's a good question. 3. well, not as such but it can handle switching pretty quickly. 4. Yes, I use the starred system for that 5. Nope. 6. I do not use custom settings which are pretty ugly, so I only use the set one which is, of course, global. I do not think global changes are possible yet.

Great video, however I read in some blog that supernote a5x uses the same technology (hardware) as remarkable 1 and is 3 year old technology. It would help if you are able to provide some guidance.
@CTilling
@CTilling 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Vikas, the writing latency speed is about the same as the Remarkable 1, but the platforms are, apart from that, quite different. The time between pen stroke and ink appearing on screen is quicker in the Remarkable 2, but I find the Supernote and Boox Max Lumi are absolutely fine in this regard - I don't notice the lag in a way that bothers me in the slightest. So you may need to weigh up what is important for you. Remarkable 2 at least offers a great writing feel (so I am told) but it falls behind in other areas, both in terms of reading Kindle, PDFs, customer support, and in terms of future options. Hope you enjoy whatever you end up purchasing!

Hi Peter, I purchased this from the company webpage (Ratta), which meant I paid for import, too, which wasn't cheap. If you are UK based and don't want to pay that Tax, you may have to wait until they find a UK distributor. But the company sent it with good tracking and they promise it will be delivered within a few days. And I suspect that the price won't be that much cheaper even if we wait.

Thanks for this - trying to decide between this and the Boox NoteAir 2 (£30.00 more at present). At present the backlight and the ability to do split screen (write/review one side, research on other side) is just attracting me more to the Air. Question on the pens - the Supernote pen nib is supposed to last forever vs. the Remarkable one which wears out but how does the NoteAir pen fare?
@DonAdwick
@DonAdwick 2 жыл бұрын
Totally different animals. Supernote excels at writing by far against anything out there but it's quite limited (it's focused in taking notes, modifying some most kind of PDFs, and for Kindle reading alone). Conversely, Note Air 2 is a jack of all trades but more focused on reading than anything and full of distractions, steep learning curve, Android 11... What's more important for you...?
