The V60 is not the same phone as it was when it first came out. The MANY software updates have transformed the phone from good but quirky to absolutely GREAT. Comprehensive usability and feature updates from LG along with OS updates from Android have remarkably improved the V60. Some things that come to mind ( I didn't keep a list of improvements, as the updates rolled out) are new camera features, easier/smoother dual screen usage, more display color management options, overall OS intuition/usability. I was really blown away at the all improvements as the phone aged. I have been using my V60 since summer 2020, with and without the dual screen. Weak points: 1 USB port -they all seem to fail. It is repairable. Try to use wireless charging or, keep it in the dual case (charge it with the magnetic adapter) to avoid stressing the USB connector. 2 Cannot simultaneously play to 2 bluetooth sperate speakers (bluetooth 5 is not available for the V60 *yet?*). 3 Subjectively thick bezels -but at this price/performance the bezel is acceptable. 4 Dual screen hinge: while decent do avoid tweaking it by sitting down with the DS case in your cargo pocket, my hinge got loose after tweaking it this way. Strong points that most people may not know about: 1 Stereo Bluetooth earbuds work fine, and the range is EXCELLENT. Multiple Bluetooth audio destinations(Bluetooth speakers) can be selected/switched "on the fly" using the pull down shade. This is a very cool feature, though other android phones probably have it as well. 2 Built in EQ for audio out to hardline (wired earbuds/feeding the aux input on your car stereo) AND ALSO for the Bluetooth destinations...this is great if you are using less than perfect Bluetooth earbuds and want to fine tune the sound with the BUILT IN eq!! 3 Massive battery, and GREAT power management (battery extender) software. 4 Use a small folding bluetooth keyboard (with trackpad) with the dual screen case and you have a VERY portable laptop replacement, good enough for text based work email etc. 5 The cumulative updates have nullified many of the original review's cited shortcomings of the V60. 6 Slo mo HD video recording. 7 Extremely good built in mics. 8 Updates improved the image stabilization for video recording. 9 Excellent matching of the dual screen display to the phone display regarding consistency of color, brightness, black levels. 10 Price: New at Costco through Tmobile was this deal which I got: BOGO offer=2 phones for $1000 with 2 DS cases and a $500 rebate in the form of a prepaid debit card. FYI I have the same (TPU?) case as in this video, and mine yellowed over the 19+ months of usage I wish LG stayed in the phone business!!

Yes yes yes you should... I have mines with the dual screen and its quite the multitasking machine. Plus the headphone jack, quad dac, IP and std mil rating, great cameras, great sounding speakers, knock on display, Dual app, 3d sound, 5000 nah battery, great 1080p screen... I mean there's so much value you got out of this phone and you don't have to pay 1000+ to enjoy it. 60 Hz screen works very well for me and not need to buy into the new camera trend when all I want is a good working phone that's not being throttled and can do what I need and then some. LGV60 is a true work horse of a phone.

I bought LG V60 because I saw it from my friend, the display and dual sound are beautiful, and the camera is just right, the photos are vivid, and the photos are truly taken at 64 megapixels. Now I bought acesories for dual screen, this is okay because if you want to have dual screen, you just put v60 and you can have dual screen. I love it

Watching this video on my V60 with a huge grin on my face 😁 I've got the 2nd screen, too, but rarely using it. I did slap the same like case on there you're spotting in the video. Works great. To me it's one of the best phones ever built, it ticks all the boxes with me, technically and designwise, even the great sounding stereo speakers. 3.5mm headphone jack with a Quad DAC that even can drive my AKG 240's, the old ones with 600 Ohms! What a sound! Than expandable storage, beautiful camera alignment with great camera tech and software to shoot some great pictures whereever wanted, what else do you need. And I have to add, the LG Velvet is also a great phone while a midranger, with also pretty nice dual speakers and a very elegant design. Get a silicone case slapped on and you'll have a neat daily driver, too. In Europe these sell for around 220€ right now. The V60 isn't really available over here but I got mine at a special sale in eBay last year. The V60 is really blowing it out of the water. RIP LG smartphones.

They want you to put everything in some form of Cloud. Rather than it be hidden and encrypted on your device to be removed. I’ll leave it up to you to figure out why they essentially want a back door to everything you do on servers they own. Keep in mind, anything you store on the Cloud is being held for you to access, until they don’t want you too, and none of the data belongs to you if it’s stored on their server.

Most phones battery charge is average at best after 3 years so a cheaper premium phone that will have at least two more android updates is great value. I am in September 2022 and strugling to find similar value in any other phone at this price point. My V40 is still great apart from the battery which was too small to begin with anyway. Two year old flagships really do hit the sweetspot, particularly the V60. It is regrettable LG have left the space.

I should have got the LG V60 when I had the chance i am on a Is Verizon Wireless contact and watching this video on my Samsung galaxy S20+ i traded in my LG V30 for the s20+ and it's been a good device know completes! It's all most payed for and time to upgrade! Great review thanks!

My T-Mobile V60 just got Android 12 today. it was about a 1.7 GB Download if I remember right. LG doesn't seem to have included the UI changes just the under the hood changes it seems. The phone felt smoother and snappier in response to user inputs. Opening apps and transitions. I use Nova Launcher anyway so I don't really need the UI changes.

I just bought a V50 with its DualScreen case and I am loving it! Since I'm using the detachable dual display case and started playing around with the built-in DAC audio, I cannot see smartphones the same way again. I am definitely eyeing the V60 since it will get an Android 13 OS update and still remains the only smartphone as of October 2022 that can do 8K HDR10 video, although I'm not a big fan of its Dual Screen case solution as it doesn't have a pogo pin and rely on its single USB-C port.

I will be keeping this LG V60 for as long as I can ...I like the phone a lot it just meet my needs with ease ...the quad dac headphone jack is something special to me ... If you stream music on tidal master turn on the quad dac and 3D engine and then plug in a nice headphone from sennheiser, hifiman or even Philips Fidelio series...Good Lord .... It sounds so amazing! With expandable storage you can store so much music catalog...I'm definitely keeping this as my music phone...but becos software and firmware update will eventually stop I'll use other phones for my daily driver and keep this phone as my music device ...this phone has so much value for the price ... If you want a flagship device and you on a budget this is a no brainer ...Get this instead of a mid range phone ..it would be one of the wisest decisions you ever made ...no mid range phone with even latest features in 2022 can touch the flagship and premium feel of this phone ... And they cost more compared to what you can get this LG V60 for .... I highly recommend this phone even if you not on a budget but don't like to spend much money on phones even in 2023/2024. I wish LG continued making phones ...maybe just high tier mid rangers and leave the flagship scene for the Samsung and Xiaomi et el... till they can figure out a better marketing strategy instead of closing up the phones unit altogether...it's quite sad ...hope maybe they make a come back ...

It's a great device for the price these days. However the Achilles heel of it is that the charging port is complete garbage. Mine pretty well gave out within the first couple of months. If you don't mind wireless charging the entire time then it's definitely worth the buy.

The phone is a beast. I have one, and I won't stop using it until it dies. I have the Samsung a53 which is a good budget secondary phone. I keep going back to my LG V60. 60Hz but it flows like butter. The dac doesn't kick in unless your headphones are above 50 Ohms. You can get good high impedence headphones cheap. Koss headphones under $30.
