I know people shouldn`t be worried about fuel economy for sports cars, but it`s really becoming something that should be well considered in the current environment.

Anyone who buys/owns a Mustang ecoboost that isn’t building a track or drift car bought the car because it’s such a livable car for daily driving. I love my 2018 6-speed manual ecoboost. Great mileage, handles great, and has enough power to make weekend drives in the mountains or twisty roads so satisfying.

Curious to see how this car will compare with the GR86/BRZ twins. I understand they're pretty different as driving vehicles, but at the end of the day they're both 30k rwd sports cars. Lots of people will be cross shopping those cars in that price range, so I'd like to see you eventually review them whenever they become available to you.

The BRZ Miata type cars will out handle these Ecoboost mustangs up against a Camaro I would be curious how they do but they are just totally different and offer the driver precision driving. This is great for those who love modifying cars. Camaro you can just leave it alone great from the factory

Once again, top notch review!! If I had an hour to decide whether or not to drop cash on a car, I would have my mind completely made up after watching your review. Dude, have you thought about being a virtual shopper, car broker or consultant? Your reviews would serve as all the advertising you need to sell yourself.

@@MeynMotorGroup I just recently saw a car broker somewhere on KZfaq. It was actually something I came close to doing 20 yrs ago. I bought books from the bookstore to master the art of car negotiation and planned on taking my commission based on how much I talked the dealer down. But for you, it doesn't have to be that stressful negotiation stuff. Your expertise is valuable. Especially with so much non-contact business going on, virtual shopping is becoming more popular. Hey, here's something you could leverage... If you can get special deals and discounts from dealers to help them move product (promos)...you can advertise that as incentive to use your service. If you come up with something of value, some type of package, you already have the platform to attract clients. A sale here and there could really be beneficial. Especially if you cater the package to just doing what you like. It's just that you come across with so much knowledge and integrity, I think you could leverage those unique qualities into a service of some sort for people who aren't car heads. Just something to think about. But in the meantime...the great reviews are appreciated 👍

I gave it a little thought. I think this could be a service... Test driving cars for people. Regular people. It's all in how you present it. Save them time. Ask them what means most to them. Test drive thier top picks and give your patented straight forward non-biased professional and insightful review. You could film the reviews for your channel too (while shopping for clients and really showing the value of what you do). It could all boil down to a clip you add to the end of your videos for people seriously considering buying the cars similar to the one you reviewed. If you put together a package, made a clip, and just pasted in to the end of your videos...what would it hurt? Just food for thought.

So I recently partnered with a company known as LeaseCompanion and they are a broker that offers deals on new cars because they have partnered with dealers. They are the number one volume broker on LeaseCompanion they offer like 10% new Wranglers 5% off new Lexus ES etc. I always link them in my description box with my affiliate link

@@MeynMotorGroup That's cool. That could be part of your incentive package. Just brainstorming here. I just think you have a special talent for evaluating and presenting information. I have a feeling you could put something together of value that could use the same skill set you use here. Sometimes I obsess with ideas and inventions when I see a spark. It's all about being happy and enjoying what you do. If you're comfortable and happy doing just what you're doing, don't change a thing. But, if you're expanding and discovering new territory...I'm just giving you an outsiders perspective on your talent and value. You're just very personable and come across very easy to deal with and trustworthy. That's hard to find in people. That in and of itself sells. It's why I always excelled in sales. I was knowledgeable and sincere and knew when I was offering value to a person. I just see you doing well with your own personally catered consultant package. If you could stop someone from buying the wrong car and opening thier eyes to a better overall value...that's priceless to a car buyer. I almost bought the wrong car when shopping in a hurry. Everytime I saw the car I almost got, I cringed and was thankful I didn't get approved for the loan.

I'm a mustang guy through and through, but Im committed to the s197 chassis, for the looks and the solid rear axle for drag racing. The ecoboost is a nice car, but even as a mustang guy I think I'd have to go for the camaro in this generation. Its got the better chassis, you can pick your posion drivetrain wise, the torquey, grunty 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder, the high revver screamer of the v6, or you can just get the hulk smash power plant in the LT1 V8, and they had that LT1 trim which is basically a totally base model camaro with the v8, with Mustang you only get the ecoboost unless you want to pony up almost 50k for the 5.0. and the camaro has the amazing 1LE package, and I just think its the better car, I like the interior better, the mustang looks better I guess, but S197 is the one to get if you want it too look good.

I had trouble coming to terms with the current gen Mustang because it's a heavy, long-nosed muscle car. But when I happened by some miracle to rent a GT a few years ago, I became a believer. Manual trans, V8, my god, way too much fun. The music of the engine made every moment of driving immensely joyful. I agree with all your conclusions on the car in question here. EcoBoost -- meh. Auto trans? bleah. This EcoBoost Mustang is better than the average boring SUV for displaying one's "rugged individuality" I suppose, but it doesn't go far enough. It has some style, but not enough substance. As you mention, the Mach 1 looks pretty sweet, and if you're looking for the best Mustang experience, you really better get the V8 and live it up! Rainy days plus RWD and lotsa power = drift mode. Once you get comfortable with it, it's full-on rally time. However, heavy rain or puddles at highway speeds, you better be careful. Bad things happen very quickly.

These are not real world mpgs! I live in California, and drive a 2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost and even if you drive the speed limit, which is very hard to do in california, You average, at best, 15 to 17 miles to the gallon of City driving. Maybe about 21 to 26 MPG on the highway, late at night, with no traffic. But on average, I range 260 MI off of full tank of gas in California in my ecoboost. And that's not driving like a bat out of hell, that is normal, stay with the flow of traffic, real world driving. So the fact that these people in these videos getting 27 to 34 and beyond miles per gallon and ranging over 400 miles on a full tank of gas is unbelievable to me..

Its good till you deal with the jerky transmission and the annoying adaptive ai shift paramiters for the 10 speed.

My Mustang has the 10 speed auto its a 2020 with 13k miles on it. It stalled on me in the first 500 miles totally stopped wouldn't go into gear. It finally did and all that my local ford dealer did was reset the adaptive ai for the 10 speed. I go a while longer and now the car when I go from park to drive or into park it slams into gear and a loud clank or clunk is heard. I take it to ford again they reset the adaptive ai and surprise the issue is gone...but only for about 300-500 miles it starts to come back and now it brings friends. Starting now it likes to hold onto first gear randomly in any drive mode...Normal, Sport even Sport+ it will slam into 2nd and then be totally smooth this is at any throttle but 50%+ if you hammer it down the car is smooth as glass. I took it in again and they reset the adaptive ai again...surprise it was smooth for a few hundred miles. This next go around it brought again another new trait to its group of friends. Now in parking lots at low speed 5-15 mph if you're on the brake to stop at a stop sign it lerches forward a few feet this has almost caused me to slide out into traffic. Anyway try to drive it in city traffic in any mode expect to have jerky and whiplash like shifts. This isn't just my car its across all of Ford and GM's joint venture on this 10 speed auto. A lot of the F-150 drivers have had so many issues they have a class action against ford over it. Same exactly solution ford has resetting adaptive ai. I heard rumors that a tune from cobb usually fixes the shifting but I don't want to void warranty... I would advise staying away from these 10 speeds unless you do infact tune it.

Here is my opinion, Mustangs are bumpy, they are nose heavy, your seat position is very low and the front windshield view horizon is high, cabin noise is ridiculous and part of it is road noise, if you live in a state where the roads are properly maintained then some of these issues are not too bad, it is a sports car but I've had a few sports cars and almost all these issues were not issues at all. You can get in a car and drive it for a few minutes and tell if that car is well put together on a mustang it took me less than 5 and few bumps to say no but hell no. Maintenance is another story, features are limited unless you fork out thousands more than other cars, when I get on one of our CRVs there is a sense of comfort, silence, and performance, since they have a turbo too and for the money to me makes a lot of sense and yeah is not a sports car. I've had a few models, 1965, 66 and 67 Mustangs and a 71 Mach One and they felt about the same as today Mustangs, bumpy, noisy and very uneconomical. I do drive a 2020 EcoBoost HP but not that much and has a real spare tire by the way, that air pump is in the trash. Sorry, don't want to be a bubble buster, but this is my humble opinion and it for real.

Hi, could you elaborate on how bad it drives in the rain? I'd never head anyone say this about the ecoboost but that's a concern. One thing g u was looking forward to after getting rid of my truck, was better handling in the rain. How bad is it compared to other cars?
@MeynMotorGroup
@MeynMotorGroup Жыл бұрын
So the mustang in general is just a very snappy car and in the rain that feeling becomes more pronounced. When you loose it in the rain you must correct right away or else you’re in a ditch. Camaros & Challengers offer so much more time to correct and is far more forgiving to drive even though they are all RWD
@HeartMarksman
@HeartMarksman Жыл бұрын
@@MeynMotorGroup Thanks for the information. So from what you're saying, it just sounds like you have to be careful taking off, because it's snappy, and probably especially taking turns? How did it feel driving it in the rain, once you're already going a constant speed, any problems there?

Really agree has so much character but unfortunately if one is to drive is seriously, it will require more capital to be invested into it from the owner.
