I have Go Ruck bags, Evergoods, Bellroy, Arc’teryx, Marmot, Patagonia, Filson, Tom Bihn etc…. Trakke is my favorite of them all. Great hand feel of the canvas. No nonsense organization devoid of excessive marketing drivel (looking at Goruck). The pockets have dimension and strength. The only bag where I need autistic levels of organization is my flight bag where everything needs a parking spot for quick access in flight which is a maxpedition. I like the lack of silly snaps and closures, it keeps things simple and unless you are taking it to low earth orbit you do not need closures in addition to the flap. I want to open my bag, access it and close the bag and move on with life without rummaging my life away. (For the record, I only have a few Trakke backpacks and slings and not the messenger. Those bottle pockets to look like they needs a re-design, as do the side pockets.)

Glad you like your Trakke! I can see how some people would like their stuff.

You are quite right about the handle, but wrong about almost anything else. The worst problem with this bag is the discoloration of the straps after 6-8 months of edc use. It's just not good for office use and at that price, someone would expect that it could last at least 4-5 years without looking worn out.

Swell 17 oz bottles fit. Definitely for someone happy with the old school simple messenger. I really like it but can see how Alpaca, Bellroy and a couple of other bag makers have a better fit for the tech urban messenger look and function.

@@ComputerStuff Probably the best bang for the buck! I have the Trakke Bairn and the Bairn Pro - and I really like them but would have been fine for purpose with Aer brief.

Thanks for the review. Now I know it won't fit my 16" mbp. One of the best devices I own but been a pain to look for alternative ways to carry it as most only fit 14" or smaller and some like this trakke bairn pro will fit a 15" laptop. Have a lot of backpacks that it'll fit in but something like this would've been nice for minimal carry. In the pictures somehow they fit a water bottle also good to know they're essentially useless.

Thanks for watching and commenting! Yeah I love the MBP16 as well but it's a honking beast!

@@ComputerStuff for example, their ctb20 just launch today. And then i look and its 8.5deep on a 20L bag! Even though i hate fat design, im still excited for it haha. (Wont be getting it though).

I think the 10L bairn pro is much better. its smaller (Smaller footprint), and the pro just makes it bigger for not much more use. The smaller bairn should just redesign the internal pocket to fit a 15inch laptop. I say this becuase a 15inch WILL fit inside the smaller bairn 10L, just not in the "laptop pocket slot". I dont wanna have a waterbottle on my messenger bag...... wtf is that guys, cmon.

Appreciate the great comment.

Brother you can't review a bag and not at least put it on to show us what it looks like on the body. That's also not how you pronounce "Trakke".
