And this is the problem with the future of gaming. I don't see how this is sustainable on the long run with the development prices. It's not peoples fault for not buying games, but the companies who offer this option. Don't get me wrong, the value is there, but is it sustainable?

@@MrZuga89 xbox pays the companies to add the games to gamepass. They’re making money for putting it on gamepass .

@@JonathanTacoman they do, but they definetely don't pay them the amount they would get per item sold. On the other hand, who knows if that much people would try the game in the first place if they had to pay. Here talking about GP because of day one releases. I would love to see the amount of money companies get for releases on subscription services. For indies it makes sence, but not sure for big budget games

I do have game pass ultimate and also don't want to get ride of it. I tryed so many games on it, it's actually made me a little more open to new stuff

Well they have given up on the Xbox Series X, so I'm going back to PC gaming.

Gamepass is worth it as long as you have a PC bottom line. I've played loads of games id have never bought and enjoyed most of them a lot

Depends highly on your usecase. Not everyone has all the time in the world or feel compelled to test out whatever hamburger meal is served. I prefer to be in full control of which games I play and I don't want to hope they will come to Game Pass and I don't want to have anxiety that they will suddenly disappear. You must have a specific mindset for this to be a good deal, but I guess to some it can be.

Question for creator or anyone who has a suggestion: I am a guy who rarely buys games day one like ever ( I think the last one I bought was forza horizon 5 and that was before they switched it to 70 bucks), I play on average 3-4 four titles a year not many multiplayer (like currently my rotation is consist of No-man Sky, EA FC 24, and Jedi Survivor). However, looking at the gamepass core line of up of games there are a couple a that pique my interest like Firewatch, Ori and superliminal) so is it still worth it? I still buying games because I am someone who slow burns through games, kind of taking it all in. Also, I saw that there are discounts for certain games if you get the core option, is there a greater discount if you get the ultimate subscription. Finally, I see that at least for core, you have a limited number of games, how would you gain access to them? Is it through the app for game pass or you have to search each individually.

I say it's worth it, at least now as of 2024, but Microsoft could easily ruin it in the future.

I travel a lot for work, and own a rog ally and Xbox series x. I have game pass ultimate because I can download games to my ally and play it on that handheld. Another feature that I find valuable is streaming my Xbox console to my ally. So if I wanted to play a game I bought and it not a play it everywhere title, I can just stream it. I don't know if this is a feature of game pass or baked into windows.

I’ve had game pass for a while I had 3 years of gold and stacked a month of game pass ultimate and I did that again a couple months ago or whenever, and I hardly play my Xbox nothing on game pass is actually exciting when I can just play these games on my pc or ps5. Idk I have a big BC library on Xbox so I usually just play whatever is in there that I bought. 3 years ago game pass was really great and actually had great games but now I feel they add mostly mid tier games and shovelware

I would agree. I don't have enough free time so subscriptions are actually useless to me, but ai still buy them when a sale is up. I was dissapointed when I played Ghostwire Tokyo and HiFi Rush on Xbox and the later on PS5 because they ran better and the haptic feedback controller is a win for me XSX is mostly used for emulation at my house 😅

I still don’t understand how they make money putting first party games with millions in development costs on Game Pass day and date. I would’ve bought Hellblade 2 physically, but since it’s digital only - pay $50 digital, or about $12 for a month of GP? I’ll play on GP.

they don't launch AAA every month the biggest budget they have had is about 250M 40M * 10$ = 400M the thing is they invested 80Billions lol

Thats been the case for a while man ever since 360. At least they let you use party chat, before hand if you didn't have gold you could literally do nothing, no chatting with friends at all

Gamepass ultimate is so good for me, love all of the choices just this year played evil west , diablo 4 , jusant , forza motorsport, no more heroes 3 , the quarry, lego 2k racing , palworld and I know I would never buy all these games

pc gamepass is value for money for me. i am never in a spot where i dont have games to play. i love playing indie, AA and if some AAA is not on gamepass i buy from steam. because i am saving money. at my place gamepass cost me less than 2 pack of cigg a month. i dont even care about xbox exclusives not a deal breaker for me. i will keep gamepass till it exists or untill they start charging 70 usd.

For me, and my very highly selective taste in games, the game pass ultimate is mostly a miss rather than a hit. I'll still keep it for the hopefully soon upcoming cod games. Keep it up sam!
