Been mountain biking 12 years, and as an engineer (mechanical) this is easily the best explanation I have ever seen on how to land jumps. Good job Phil, very impressive presentation of this skill

Thank you! It's not a process that I'd be able to document (at least not easily). My train of thought is very very scattered and it takes me quite some time to sort it all out. Even when I'm done in not super satisfied with the end product. I'd give this video a 6/10. There's so much more i wanted to include but it got to the point where I had to call it good enough. I can always expand in another video.

Oh, I understand. I've only made a handful of videos so far. No real plan. I just record everything and figure it out in post. The one video I actually tried planning( A Rylo360 Review) ended up like garbage(do not watch that video). Then again, that was my first video. I've yet to find a balance. You made this video seem so fluid and polished. I'm sure there was a ton of work involved. The whole "Alberta Trip" series I made must have taken me 120+ hours of sitting in front of my computer, trying to put together a story from days of footage. I imagine a similar amount of effort was poured into this tutorial. At some point, you do have to call it good enough. Of course, your good enough equals amazing. :-)

I believe this is your best tutorial to date. Encountered a fair bit of the drop to flat situations at Fort Rock over the weekend. This video helped with understanding the dynamics and how to approach these monsters with more confidence. Great job Phil just wish I saw this sooner🙏🏼

Thanks for breaking it down so well. There is so much in this video that riders of all levels can take to heart and practice. The editing, use of slo-mo and highlights + that golf ball work, really made it easy to follow and absorb.

What a great detailed video mate. Thank you so much for putting so much effort into it. I landed to flat very badly at the end of last year and after weeks of recovery I'm ready to hit that same drop again. But!!!
