The machine has no idea what it payed out before if follows the algorythum to pay out the % back it has taken in following the law of large numbers and its computerised Random Number Generator. Every time you hit the button you have the same odds. The gaming board decide the % of payout with the casino.

Depending on how much you win, I would take my money and run to another slot. Also, if its not hitting on the bet and denom you are playing on, switch it up and see what shows up. Better luck next time...

If a machine is not hitting, move on. I have learned this the hard way. Since the machines are random, you have a better chance of taking home winnings by moving. It does seem like the machines are loose at times. Three spins of $1.88 bet at the Venetian I hit the Jack pot for a fancy drums machine for $1,652. I seem to win the whole day at various casinos on a number of my favorite machines.

I see videos of people just playing, playing and playing on a machine that is not producing any bonuses and not only is it boring and not entertaining, but you wonder why they keep chasing the BIG JACKPOT, which if if it does come, it will never cover the loss.
