Quincy you make a good point regarding the theme. I have walked around the resort and it is lovely and beautiful but having just seen Molly's resort tour at Portofino Bay at Universal Studios......that is the level of theming that should have been done here.

I don't know about others, but I really enjoy checking in with cast members at the front desk instead of skipping them altogether. I really think that's where the vacation begins, chit-chatting with a super awesome CM is such a great start to my trip! Although, I do like the option of just going straight to your room especially if you come in super late. Quincy, are those actual fridges or beverage coolers? I heard that with the new Grand Floridian studios, they will only be getting beverage coolers and that eventually all studios will replace mini fridges with coolers. I really hope this isn't the case! OH my gosh 51:32!!! 😂😂💓

I know it is an unpopular opinion, but I was unimpressed with this hotel when we were touring it for our next stay. Not saying it was bad, just really overpriced for the room size, location and amenities. We chose Swan and Dolphin. Not technically a Disney hotel but has all the same perks, nicer rooms and tons of dining options for less than 1/2 the price of Riviera. Sorry to the fans.

This is very much like an actual Parisian hotel room - yes, the bathrooms over there are often as big as if not larger than the bedrooms in their hotels. As I told my family, the only thing missing for the maximum authenticity was the bidet in the bathroom.

I made a special trip to Riviera Resort to buy a print of the Aristocats kitten painting. Its SO adorable and I have it in my kitchen now. One of my favorite purchases I made on my last Disney trip.

I’m only seven minutes in, but I am SO GLAD you’re reviewing the tower studio. I’m a solo traveler and am always so intrigued by these! Update: I think the chance of getting a first floor room and being immediately next to the walkway may have ruined that as an option for me.

Literally stayed in this exact room for the past three nights. I think money plays a big factor in reviews. If one was paying cash for this room, it wouldn’t be worth it. For DVC members, however, it is a great option to use for saving points or quick trips. Honestly, the room is not that small. I was expecting much, much smaller.

Quincy, Thank you for the tip about coffee at Le Petit Cafe. We were at WDW two weeks ago and made a special effort to get to the cafe. I had an iced Cinnamon Cold Brew with the honey-almond whipped cream and it was the BEST coffee I had the entire trip! The BEST, no contest.

We were able to enjoy the Riviera last year. It's indisputably a beautiful resort, but we got a "high end hotel" vibe more than DVC resort vibe. When you walk into lobbies such as AKL and Wilderness you get that "Wow" factor that's missing with the Riviera. We enjoyed the pool area, the food, and the Skyliner was nice. The 1 bedroom had a great living area, but only one bathroom (I don't count rooms that don't have a toilet) for a larger family is a problem. The cast members were amazing and super helpful. Overall, glad we did it...but would not buy there. But it is a really beautiful hotel.

Interesting to see the Tower Studio. My family had the pleasure of staying this past summer in a Two bedroom with probably one of the best locations. The highest floor, center overlooking the pools. It was fabulous. Previous fall DH and I had a beautiful one bedroom. Love this resort! 😎👍🏻

Quincy is definitely thorough with her tours!! The Riviera is such a beautiful resort! I have never been but will be staying at Caribbean next door and have a Topolinos dinner reservation for the night before we leave..can't wait to take it all in in person!

No thanks. I’d stay in a value resort first. I have no desire to have to haul my bed down from the wall and pay over $400 for the honor. I don’t see anything about that room that says it’s worth the price they are asking for it.

We have never stayed at Riviera, but we visited to have the Monte Cristo which is served at the restaurant by the pool:)) yum yum! It is SO BEAUTIFUL!

We stayed 7 nights on February in the tower studio and we had a great time. We were on the 5th floor and I could lie in bed and see fireworks! Will try to book a studio again when it is just us two. We kept the bed down the entire time.

Looks like a great way to see if you could live in a tiny house! We stopped at this resort (taking Skyliner) when staying at Carribean Beach and loved the coffee at Petit Cafe too. The grounds and decor all around just have a fresh feel here. : )

I’ve stayed at many Disney resorts. I spent a week at Riviera last year. It’s a beautiful resort BUT the one bedroom while pretty has a frustrating bathroom situation (more toilets please!!). It’s proximity to the skyliner is great. The service was good. All of that said, I couldn’t help but feel like it wasn’t worth the price. Disney isn’t particularly known for being affordable and I went into it with that understanding, but I found myself often thinking that I was paying way more than I should for what I was getting. I won’t be staying here again.

In the one two bedroom there is artwork on the wall of the Murphy bed over sofa. I just notice there is none. Which, makes decor a little dull.

Great Review! We just got back from our stay there. We have DVC at the Animal Kingdom, and stayed here in a 1-BR. We fell in love with the Riviera! And actually bought there after our stay. The food, grounds, vibe and Skyliners made a huge impact. More Luxury feel than other Disney resorts. Like a Floridian... with a more modern hip vibe. LOL. Wouldn't pay that Riviera nightly rate though. Hence, the DVC decision.

Our family had the chance to stay there last summer, and it quickly became our favorite resort.

The fact you can stay at Coronado Springs with also delicious dining and beautiful, mature theming : and actually have real beds and space, for almost the same cost : you won’t catch me paying for that closet sized room with a pulldown bed 😆

I've just booked to stay at the Riviera in a 3 Bedroom Grand Villa for 10 nights in 2023. I'm so excited. I've only ever stayed in value resorts (Pop Century and Art of Animation). I decided to spend a little extra as I'm taking my family. It will be the trip of a lifetime. Thank you for all your videos, it helped me decide which hotel I should book.

Quincy, My family and I had a similar issue at check-in during our stay at The Riviera Resort in late Feb. We loved the room and it kinda made up for the check-in issues. Rm 8106… right near the room you were in.

We got 40% off riviera when using Disney visa for deposit and we were nervous deviating from the Polynesian but we loved the riviera. If you get a deal book it. The fast serve restaurant had awesome brick oven pizza instead of flat bread. The premium restaurant had an absolutely amazing filet mignon and atmosphere. Rooms smelled amazing too. The pool was great. Anyway yes you should give the riviera a shot if you see a discount

I'm a single Mom and Travel with 1 Child now as my older is college age and prefers to room with friends or on his own. I bought DVC and upgraded from Pop Century. I get that most don't like the decor and theming but after spending so much time at the super themed Value Resorts... We're good at Riviera, plus with the Skyliner you have a lot of options of places to go, tour and dine at. We usually do a week's stay and a short cruise. Now we have accommodations that are more on par with each other and have better facilities now to do inroom light breakfast or snacks. The points for a Tower Studio and Deluxe Studio isn't far apart. So going from sleeping 2 to sleeping 5 isn't much, and booking a room when we want is easier 11 months in advance. We usually visit during lower crowd times as we are non Americans so it's "affordable" for us. Hope the dining plan and APs return soon. That way we can do weekend trips more often. Also the self service laundry area is complementary indoors and nicer, So you can pack less.

Rivera is pricey. We were so glad we were DVC members when we stayed last summer. The going rate for a 2 bedroom in August was over $1700 per night! The points to stay were reasonable. And we loved the location and the Skyliner! 😎👍🏻

Honestly, if price is a factor in your decision making, the only time you should consider staying here is if you own or rent DVC points.

I think this room is kind of the epitome of imagineering capturing the spirit of an area/theme. The actual Italian/French Riviera is a super expensive place and so you get lots of small, yet high end accommodations like these. The finishes are what make it high end, not the space. You get all the finish and amenities of the deluxe resorts but in a smaller space and that feels more European. Is it everyone's cup of tea? No, but I do love that it's so on theme with the resort and if I ever do a stay with just hubby and I am very much looking forward to staying in one of these. Also, yeah it's not as nice to look out the window, but man I'd love to be able to just walk out my room and go straight to the skyliner LOL.

I just went to the Inspiring Walt Disney exhibit at The Met in NYC and THAT was actually inspired by French art and included video of Walt touring Versailles. The Riviera is such a disappointment. It could be richly decorated in French Rococo period art, feel like the entrance of a European palace, like Cinderella, Slerping Beauty or the Beast’s castle. Nope. There’s some art on the very white walls. The skyliner service is SLOW as proven in your other videos. So I’d stay in like, a Hyatt or the Swan/Dolphin is you are looking for classy. Cheaper and better.

Quincy, what is up with the speed talking??? I always love watching Quincy & Molly but I swear she talked soooooo fast and then muffled by mask while walking fast, it was highly frustrating. Then a speed tour of the room with camera swinging around at dizzying speed and angles. Of course, the only thing that was understandable was the usual rambling ode to coffee. I just bought DVC at Riviera and was excited to see this video, but completely disappointed. Molly and Quincy are my favorite Disney vloggers, but Allears should pull this video and do it right. 😣

It's never happened that I could not even finish a whole video from allears. This was the one. I just wonder if Quincy can mention one more time how small the room is and the windows open to the outside walkway. Just close the curtains...

This video is okay but Allears needs to hire someone or become more knowledgeable on the ins and outs of DVC. She keeps saying check in is at 3 when she stays at a DVC resort, which is incorrect. DVC check in is at 4. The value in booking these DVC resorts is using your DVC points, not a cash stay.

Oh my goodness, the rambling during the room tour was crazy. On and on about the same two issues.
