Whoever is thinking about starting locs pls use this method its the best one. You go through less of an ugly stage look and the amount of hair in the loc will always be proportionate throughout what they call the harder first year. I used comb coils without much knowledge on this method and wish i can can back n use this method. Also everyone who uses this method has more unique/textured looking dreads🙏🏽

@@AT-ec9gb yessir but it depends the look your goin for. Like look up jemigotsoul and westindieray and look at their locs. Those are how two strand locs turn out with some texture. But all locs are nice I just would’ve started out like that but didn’t have no knowledge on it. And yeah thats true for all locs but it depends. 5 months in I already have a lot of locing and budding just a lot of frizz still but i maintain with a two strand style every 2-3 weeks and retwist monthly and interloc every 2-3 months.
@platanoconsalami1673 жыл бұрын
@@AT-ec9gb If you have locs already you can try washing a lot. At one point I was washing weekly when I knew I wasn’t going anywhere but it did help my hair get loc’d too. Makes your hair look really messy tho especially without a haircut. But now i just wash before a retwist or style. First every 2 weeks now im gonna go a month again without washing to see how it goes since i have my routine down to prevent flakes and I want to see if my hair locs fast in this way too or with washing more often. Only time I went a month was my first month.

I started my dreadlocks with two strand twists and tbh the best thing to get them locked up is really just time and water. I’ve been washing them twice a week since I started, they started to lock up pretty fast. They just got dummy frizzy for a while and over time frizz died down and continues to die down but my locks are very VERY locked. I’ve recently started to use a crochet needle, interlocking, and braid styles with locking gel and it couldn’t be better so far. I also use castor oil for growth. I think it all just depends on your hair but miy curl pattern isn’t that tight. I’m a football player, i go swimming and rarely sleep with anything on my head. I think all the friction and shenanigans helped my hair lock

How do you start two strand twists? I got so many questions. How do you keep it moisturized? (Ik putting things in your scalp to keep it moisturized, then theres leave-in conditioner you can just keep in) How to sleep? (I know about headwraps and bonnets) What to put in when you wake up? How long to keep them in and re-twist? What about washing my hair? Do I keep them in?
