I started playing this a few days ago. I've had it for years on the hard drive of my hand-me-down ps3. I panic so much, such a scary game LOL.

Resident evil 4 is my favourite single player game of all time. This in my opinion is the best Resident evil game ever, but there are things that I wish they could have added in the final release. Here are my ideas that I wised they used. One idea is to keep the Ink ribbon system, and that they have to be inside your inventory case and you can only have 4 Ink ribbons before it creates another set; like bullets for your guns. Also you have to find the Ink ribbon you can't buy them from the merchant. And with that I would completely get rid of the chapter saves and check points to add more tension. Also I would have added the original dialog audio and voices for the villagers from the RE4 demo with the final version of there dialog audio and mix them together. I would have also add the three treasures from the demo as well. The ''Onyx Stone'' for 25,000 PTAS. And the large purple ''Amethyst Stone'' for 40,000 PTAS, and the normal sized ''Amethyst Stone'' for 12,000 PTAS. I would also make them all one of a kind, each of them. Another idea is to be able to enter back through the door and area as Leon in chapter 4-1. The location where you play as Ashley and do that puzzle. I would have a bunch of Zealot enemies, ranging from the red clothed goat head Zealot to the normal enemies with shields. Some of them would have that chain and ball weapon, I would also add in a few Zealot with the bow and arrow weapon as well. A few of them would have that big gold metal helmet and are armed with that Scythe weapon. All of them would have a guaranteed parasite as well and would appear when you damage them enough. Then for Professional mode I would make changes like getting rid of all the dumpsters you could hide Ashley in, I would also make all the enemies be 2X stronger and make them dodge/avoid your attacks more often every time you could upgrade your guns. I would get rid of the elevator timer when you face ''Verdgo'' and have the player be forced to fight the creature. I would also have the merchant only offer one aid spray per chapter. I would then change the inventory system from instead of pausing the action in the game play, the inventory would appear on screen like in RE5, I would have the inventory case appear in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. The enemies around you can still attack you while your busy in your inventory, to add more tension and to make it more challenging etc. And the inferred scope would be gone completely as well in professional mode. I would have added in creative trophies achievements in the HD PS3 and XBOX 360 and PS4 and XBOX ONE version of the game. For example; ''Get 30 head shot in a row with your Handgun.'' ''Collect all the eggs.'' ''Buy every gun and upgrade all the guns.'' ''Complete the game with 95% hit ratio.'' '' Knife a bow and arrow five times.'' ''Complete the game on Professional mode with zero deaths.'' As well as the standard trophies like ''complete Chapter 3-4.'' I would have the same type of trophies in the other modes like in Separate ways, and with Assignment Ada and the Mercenaries mode etc. And I would have a subtitle option in the settings for all the cut scenes, and have them in a cool font like Arial black but in the colour white with a black box as the background. For the Separate Ways I would have Professional mode after you finish the campaign. I would have six chapter in Separate Ways and two for the Castle area, the first chapter of the castle portion would have Ada entering the castle and fighting Zealots in same area where Leon was. From the catapults to where you first meet Garador but instead you'll see him dead on the ground with Zealots in that area and the big room with the multiple cranes, and you have to go up on the level where Ashley would be and go into to the door where the enemies would appear from and go through there in a whole new area. And I would have Ada and Luis interact with each other and then be forced to work together while being stuck in a room and fighting lots of enemies. That would be the first chapter of the castle portion of Separate Ways and then I would keep the other as it is with the garden maze. I would also add another costume for Leon and Ashley in addition to the other costume they have in the game. For Leon I would have him wear a Men Leather white Jacket and plain white T-shirt with blue jeans with a leather-white-belt and some cool looking trainers. For Ashley I would have her wear a Sexy Women Sequin Pattern V Neck Sleeveless dress in a black colour, showing off some nice cleavage and also have her wear a Sterling Silver Love Heart Necklace and I would have her wear black high heel shoes. In my opinion if theses ideas were implemented in the final release of the official game it would be even more better and more challenging and would add a shit ton of replay value as well and would make it more fun.

I'm surprised that Regenerators weren't mentioned here. I was pretty young when I played RE4. Me and my buddy would set up my ps2 on the balcony, close the big ass curtains on it and play the game past midnight. It was an awesome atmosphere. But those Regenerators scared the hell out of us. Especially since we were hell bent on conserving as much ammo as possible. On top of that I think my dumbass lost the thermal scope somehow which made fighting them even worse. I loved it. I should find a way to play this game again. It was awesome.
