I don't know why but, I've always felt that Black knight was female to begin with. This is just pointless joking, but maybe this is proof of that? In all honesty, its probably because the horns on her helmet are taller than the male version's.

Interestingly enough, according to Yacht Club Games's website, Black Knight was originally designed to be gender-ambiguous.

And I put my own thought to it. Honestly, that's great character design despite some saying that it is "lazy", (which I don't get) Enabling people to make their own impressions on a character or game is very fun. As for HarrinSain: His "voice" is way more high-pitched compared to the rest of the cast, and I just felt that his antics would be interesting if it were a female character in disguise. The relationship between Shovel knight, shield knight and black knight would become even more interesting then. But that's just my take on it though.
