Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX is an enhanced edition of the classic action-adventure platformer developed by Yacht Club Games. Relive the iconic quest to save Shield Knight, defeat the evil Enchantress, and bring down her formidable Order of No Quarter. The new edition is fitted with returning features such as Challenge Stages, Custom Knight, and the Battle Ghost Arena. A Rewind feature has also been implemented including Save States, over 300 classic gameplay-twisting cheats, new multiplayer features, and other enhancements. Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX is coming soon with more information to come.

@PlusUltraAdrian The last update for og Shovel Knight was 5 years ago. And yall forgot other companies do this too. And these guys made 2 spin off games too. Skyrim has 9 Re-releases/remakes. Yall are impatient since they ARE working on Mina and the Sequel as well.

This is just the first campaign, Shovel of Hope. They mentioned potentially doing this for the other campaigns but it doesn't seem like there are any plans for it at the moment

It'd be a lot more work, recreating every sprite in the game. The devs are busy finishing up their next game, Mina the Hollower, and also showed a teaser of a 3D Shovel Knight sequel yesterday in their presentation, which seems pretty far off, but they've definitely got their hands full. My guess is they wanted to do something special for the anniversary, but didn't want to be too ambitious, especially after promising a ton on the Kickstarter for the original Shovel Knight and then going above and beyond that.

Shovel Knight's incredible even if you can play those games. One of the best platformers ever made, I'd highly recommend you check out DX when it releases, or Treasure Trove which is already out and includes 3 more campaigns and a platform fighter

@mitchellhancock7920 Treasure Trove was a series of free additional games for those who own the original, so if you already owned Shovel Knight, you'd just get those. Then, in like 2017 they released standalone versions of most of the games, and now we're getting DX.
