Love the Chevette cover behind Steve on his right. I have that issue stored away. I remember the aluminum Cadillac 500 cubic inch motor out of an Eldorado. The biggest factory GM motor in the smallest GM rear wheel drive car. Great videos 👍

Steve, assuming I didn’t misunderstand your point on fact #751, about the T/A being unique in having adjustable rocker arms and hydraulic cams, the 426 Hemi switched to a hydraulic cam in 1970, and retained the adjustable rockers that they had used in previous years, and the same in 1971.

I thought that the SCCA did away with the 5.0L limit for 1970 and that's why the Chrysler 340 and Chevy LT-1 350 were used. Also, I have one of the Clutch-Turbo 400 transmissions from one of my uncles drag cars in a corner of my shop. I need to find a project to use it in.

Scale model cars from a scale model room, lol. Also, my dad's friend had a turquoise GTO back in the 1970s that had an automatic transmission with a clutch pedal; finally I have an explanation! Thanks bro.

I have read before ( and a recent email conversation w Don Garlits ) that every 392 was dyno tested before it was installed . I don't know if this is also true in 354 and 331 ? I also wonder if this was just 300 model ( or perhaps just Imperial ) ? Too much of the 50's vintage has been lost forever , too far gone to confirm I suppose.

Thank you so much for the info on the hemi blocks that were modified to use the max wedge heads. I recently acquired a bare hemi block with the same modifications, and it had me scratching my head. Now I just have to decide if I should change it back to accept hemi heads again, or put some max wedge heads on it.
