Show Me a Hero ist eine sechsteilige Miniserie aus dem Hause HBO. David Simon, seines Zeichens das Mastermind hinter Serien wie The Wire und Treme, fungierte als Creator und schrieb gemeinsam mit William F. Zorzi das Drehbuch. Paul Haggis inszenierte alle sechs Episoden des Formats, das vom Kampf gegen Ungerechtigkeit erzählt.

Yes, think of it like this sort of. The Wire made the argument against the drug war. This makes an argument for public and affordable housing (we all need housing that's affordable though, as this is an issue that impacts everyone) that helps give minorities more opportunities to do better than being in the ghettos.

"Underneath it all, it's fear." So? Given the homicide, the drug use, the prostitution, the crushing poverty that comes with public housing, it's perfectly rational and moral to fear it and to be opposed to it. And if you say it's about race, all you're doing is trying to change the subject rathe than face the issue at hand.

This show is set 30 years ago and you just proved the racist mob that Nick fought is still around. You think people in public housing are just inherently horrible? If you watched the show (better yet, actually lived in the real world) you'd know that's not the case. I won't even bother citing the GI Bill, redlining, and a literal library full of studies showing it's policy and racism that added to all of this.

Bruh, the city damn near went bankrupt, accruing fines of up to a million dollars a day. It went through worse turmoil than it would have if it just adopted desegregation. Given the damage that resisting change was doing, the logical choice should have been to just accept that black people were equal to white people. Instead, those morons financially crippled their own city rather than live in the same neighbourhood as people who were of another ethnicity.

Very well made, and makes it important NOT to have subsidized housing, crime goes up, taxpayers we have to foot free breakfast and lunch for kids their mothers get food stamps and are too lazy to cook. Transportation service for the over 65 and disabled now in my nice town have to service the same women to go to malls,nails done, and who need to go to doctors visits cant because there are no space. Housing should be temporary, as welfare for able bodies.

literally 50% of the show was about how everything you just said is wrong criolla but ok
