I was waiting for this content. This for me was possibly the most satisfying victory I've ever seen. Not because I hate Haney but because Ryan's career was at risk and the culture was at risk. I actually feel bad for Haney. He did nothing wrong. Unfortunately people down on you when you lose but this is the best fighting the best. No losers here

Devin’s corner man had an interview where he broke down the impact of those 3lbs and Ryan’s strategy vs how it impacted Devin’s strategy. I agreed with his corner man’s perspective that those extra 3 pounds was the difference between Devin carrying the impact of draining himself to get down to 140 pounds versus Ryan not having to feel drained and feeling fresh and strong going into the fight. He even went as far to say that the money that Devin won in the bet worked against him Because Ryan was there to win a fight not make the money. He said if he could go back he would have just had Ryan cut down even more before the next weight-in and try to lose another 2 pounds and force his body to go through that draining before the fight.

The thing is Ryan fought Devin &tank the same way. The only difference is Tank had an answer for Ryan’s speed and power and fought a drained and unhealthy Ryan. Devin’s lack of power, Ryan not draining himself and his inability to fight on inside is what made him lose. Also dropping his back hand when he jabs is his biggest flaw and it got exposed. Hopefully Devin can explore different trainers, maybe some that have had actual boxing experience before that won’t let Devin make the same mistakes for his whole career and one that helps him to learn to use the inside game a bit more instead of rushing back to the outside by clinching.
