I never thought about using lotion for switch lubing.

i dont have a switch opener and i didnt have any access to keyuboard lube so i used some expired cetaphil lotion that i had i lazy lubed the switches by pressing down with a tweezer than brushing the walls of the switch

i'm actually planning on picking this board up by the end of this week, it's gonna be my first ever mechanical keyboard and i'm pretty excited. going to replace the stock switches with gateron milky yellow pros and later on try out sillyworks hyacinth vu2s. honestly can't wait to explore the world of switches lol

Ooh nice, i recommend getting prelubed ones since it skips the whole painful lubing process and when switches are lubed they usually sound way better and feel nicer to press but some people like them stock but its up to you

I also recommend modding this keyboard since it sounds way better modded like doing tempest tape mod

And if you really wanna customize the keyboard you could also get a good keycap set or get the keycaps i have and pick some colors so you could make your own design like i did, best of luck to your mechanical keyboard journey! 👍🤗❤

Ypu could also try to make your own custom kb but thats usually much more expensive so you can just mod and customize a mech keyboard like i did

@@ablueduck99 thank you! i do plan on getting some gradient white to dusty pink keycaps in the future, but now i want to focus on trying out switches first since they're the most interesting to me atm 😁 i will definitely plan on tape modding it as soon as i can. this may be weird of me but i am actually not dreading lubbing the switches myself, it actually seems like it would be semi enjoyable. my opinion might change when i actually have to sit down and do it though lol.
