"Showdown!" | Bardometer Remix | Undertale Yellow

Күн бұрынWow, I haven't uploaded since January! Oops! I've been working on a lot of other stuff behind the scenes, so don't worry, I'll make up for the lost time soon enough! Anyway.
This remix came about when some friends and I did a live dub playthrough of Undertale Yellow. We were absolutely enamored with Starlo and his boss fight really left an impact on us, so as soon as it was done I rushed to cover his theme. That was quite a while ago though, as I got stuck in the mixing/mastering cycle for a loooooong time before I was happy with how it sounded. In the end, I think it was worth it. Also, I worked a little with some of those same friends who I dubbed the playthrough with on this remix! I have credited them below, please go show them some love 💛

I expected something with instrumentation more like what you'd expect from a typical Western, so when that synth came in it felt like I was slapped. I love it.

Showdown has a special place in my heart specially because of the range of soundfonts and instruments in the music. Your remix managed to elegantly capture that and I am grateful for you and your friends for creating this. When I heard the trumpets, I felt the fire!

is there a pure music version with no gunshots and no voice? not hating on the sfx in any way but i'd like to put this on loop so hearing the intro speech everytime is ehhhh

I had been desperately looking for a good remix of Showdown ever since Undertale Yellow came out. All the early ones that came out were so ugly. None of them captured the up-and-down feeling or melody of the piece. None of the playfulness or true wildness. When I heard the instrumentation at the start of this one, I was certain I had found it. Then the voice came in and ruined it. What a disappointment.
