If you stand on your stairs facing up (or down), then turn around, you're not "backwards," you're just facing downward (or upwards). You can only be "backwards" if you're moving.

I taught myself to go downstairs backward when my knees were bone on bone. It was less painful on my knees to go down backward on the stairs. My 5 year old grandson likes it so much that he has a lot of fun going backward down the stairs!!❤❤❤❤😇

Actually, a lot of rich houses have toilet closets in their bathroom so its a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi and a huge shower, double sinks tons on floor space and cupboards and then the toilet is in a little walled off area in the corner so the toilet can be used privately while the other parts of the bathroom are in use
