In England they don't learn songs like Old McDonald etc in school...they learn Bohemian Rhapsody. I was in a pub in London once and BR came on. The WHOLE pub stopped what they were doing and started singing, all different ages, different cultures etc. One of my top 10 experiences EVER!

I mean...pretty easy! Green Day brought the house down. They always do. It's why they choose to play the music they do pre-show - to get the crowd hyped for whats to come.

I was there - imagine how good it would have been if we'd practiced? Officially 65,000 people...no lyrics on the screens, no one on stage directing - just the song through the speakers...and looking forward to doing it all again in June when Green Day are back in England.

Hi from UK….yes we love to sing along to bo rap……once I was stuck in traffic in my car, bbc radio 2 played this song, all around me people were singing along, air guitar in hand ready for the solo…I love your channel, sensible intelligently articulated thoughts on great music, freeburg mentioned she liked doing comparisons I think….a good one would be Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones and a unique cover done by Devo (on KZfaq) it’s very different. Keep up the good work, keep safe and well , love from the UK 🇬🇧

This is epic 65,000 people singing along with one of the most iconic songs of the seventies. I recently watched a concert video of Queen + Paul Rodgers filmed in 2008 in Kharkiv, Ukraine attended by 350,000 people Brian May posted on the Queen Official KZfaq channel to raise money for the people displaced by the war. All those people singing along to not only Queen songs, but also Bad Company and Free, two bands Paul was in. Oh by the way I had the chance to sing along to "Bohemian Rhapsody" while watching Queen at Madison Square Garden in 1980 and 1982.

Bear I think you have discovered a little magic here. I love the shock and joy on her face when you play something that blows her mind. I also love the pride and joy you exude when you see that she gets it. It's magical. The earlier comment about you playing for her Simon and Garfunkle and then Disturbed would further expand her mind and lead her down the path to Rock and Roll heaven. After that the possibilities are endless. I also checked out your catalog and notice that there is no Morissette Amon and no Angelina Jordan. This would be something that both of you can discover together. I couldn't think of anything better to share between father and daughter than the power of music. I know this is your channel but she brings a different spin on it. If you think you might want to go down the Morissette and Angelina path please reply and I will be glad to recommend a really good starter kit for both of you. If she likes Ariana then Morissette will be her new favorite artist and maybe even yours. I will check back to see if you decide to reply. Take care and be well.

I have been watching a lot of reaction channels, and I'm looking for someone young and just starting a study of Queen. I can take them on a much deeper dive than just listening to studio and live performances, or watching the movie. Some of the interesting things such as the one song that's the last on side two of the album fading out, and the next album first song on side one fades in from that song. The one song that starts out backwards, and merges into three songs in a row, all written by Freddie. The other side of the album has three songs written by Brian that also merge together, but they are sung by Freddie as lead. It includes Brian's tribute to his father, who helped him build his Red Special guitar. The song that was the predecessor to Bohemian Rhapsody The one song to appear on two studio albums The one song that was recorded with FOUR lead singers, and John Deacon was not one of them. An extra note about this, the song has a non-Queen co-writer. The album title that has a title track on another album The many times there were deep cuts where Freddie and Brian had contrasting songs on similar themes, sometimes on the same album There are many songs Brian and Roger wrote that they sang lead, but there are remarkable tracks either of them wrote that Freddie sang lead. She mentioned having seen Love of My Life. That song is about a real woman, written from her perspective. She is prominent throughout the movie, she was given Freddie's ashes after his death, and when nobody was watching, she snuck out to the pre-determined location where Freddie wanted his ashes to be cast. Nobody else knows where this is. The studio version with Freddie on Piano, the common live version with Brian on 12 string, and more recently, Brian performing the song solo with Freddie's image in a video joining in for the end where Brian breaks down in front of thousands. The incredible solo work done by Brian and by Roger. I am just getting started. For perspective, you say you were two when this concert was performed. I was 19 and about six months away from leaving for Navy Boot Camp. Thank you for your service. When I was Freeburg's age, was when I really started studying Queen deeply. I want to be able communicate with you two away from here to talk about going down several long paths with them, at the end, I would bestow on her a rare gift, I don't want to spoil it. PS I discovered this channel about two hours before writing this.

Great reaction again and could hear Freeburg this time lol :P. Another group I would suggest you get Freeburg to listen to is Nightwish. They are a Finnish symphonic metal band with a female lead singer. The song most reactors start with is Ghost Love Score from Wacken 2013 as it shows Floor Jansen's (the lead singer) range, although it only scratches the surface of what she can do vocally. She is classically and rock trained and can do almost anything from classical to belt to full on growl/grunt and anything in between. She has a range of more than 3 octaves and I consider her the female Freddie Mercury and well worth a listen. Ghost Love Score from Wacken 2013: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ap2VkpxnlrW1h3k.html
