Showing my homemade RC crawler collection and how to build them for alot less than an RTR. and yes, I say locktite and grease a lot because that was the biggest complaint I have seen about buying the cheaper parts online.

Awesome custom rc crawlers. Especially the welded frames are very impressive. Thoroughly appreciate your point of 'making your own', be it from from hardware store derived raw materials or 'mail order' or anywhere else for that matter, sourced rc parts. You for sure need vision, creativity, patience, endurance and plenty of skills to actually you know, 'make it happen'. Thank you very much Sir, a cool video overview of the Waffles RC garage, your school of thinking and of course, making! Your custom crawler, metal frame fabrication really is most impressive. Looking forward to more. Subscribed and liked, cheers 👍😊

I have a 2 wd monster truck i built myself. Its bad ass! All aluminum and i took all the motor and esc unit out of my drag car and put in it. Just got the body the other day and just need a shorty battery for it. All metal gears, axles, transmission, frame, suspension arms, torsion bars, wheels, lol the works. It runs around 75mph. Just did a gear change recently
@WafflesRC-pb4nt8 ай бұрын
That sounds really cool!! One day i will build one that can go that fast.
@markharris14738 ай бұрын
@WafflesRC-pb4nt that would be kool. My next build is gonna be a 73 to 79 Chevy build with a metal frame in a rock crawler version. I also scratch built a car trailer so I could put the fast one on that and pull it with my rock crawler when I get it built. I wanna do this one in 4wd this time. Build my own version. If I only knew how to just post pics here I'd show off what I have now, but Idk how to post pics yet lol, and thank you for the compliment. I have a few thousand dollars invested in it lol. Parts aren't too cheap and for the ones that were, it didn't take long to add up lol

This is sweet. I dig piecemeal rigs. I'm currently building my first 1/10 trail truck. I'm on disability, so I'm piecing it together with unused takeoffs, cheap parts, and free offerings from others. I've got VS4-10 chassis rails, AR45 straight axles, VXT tires and SSD wheels. I figure I have a long Wisconsin winter ahead to find the rest of the parts i need and get it built.

@@WafflesRC-pb4nt with so many people going to flat rail chassis it's easy to find stock ones. And nobody uses the VXT tires from the kits either. I think they'll be great for hauling my overland trailer on the gravel bike trails here in southwestern Wisconsin.

Aside from the chassis's you're building..the only thing breaking is the cheap stuff? Basically, all you're doing is promoting cheap goods from Amazon. I could do the same but I don't want my stuff to break as soon as I get it. Also loctite for metel to metal screws is a necessity for any mechanical part that move and are subject to high stress. In the end, you're going to spend more on cheap parts than expensive parts eventually
