Yohji has a certain poetry within him, like a whisper that echoes.

Love his humility~ you can tell he loves what he does. The industry needs more of this, instead of egotistical people

From what I have learned so far, fashion industry altogether is just the peak of the insanity our society created over the hundreds of years, and still is living in. But the great thing about it is that someone somewhere like Yohji Yamamoto always exists, and the contrast between this person and everything around makes you appreciate it. I don't know, the personality of this man just lifts me up. I'm happy now I came across this video :D

This interview really spoke out to me, I felt a great connection with a lot of the things that Mr Yamamoto said such as the anger, hating the fashion system, being a creator or stylist. I like to think that I am a creator not a stylist as I wish to achieve art in my work and be true to my work so I am more than willing to sacrifice for my work. I wish I had him for a mentor and teacher as I know I would have gained a great deal from him.

I'm really uncomfortable with the interviewer addressing Mr. Yamamoto by his first name.
