I hear you and think JuJu is great but it truly has been proven over and over again that being a great college player doesn't guarantee a pro spot, let alone being a star and sadly, the W doesn't have extra roster spots for development. Every single player talks about speed, physically and mental game because basically every player in the W was a version of them a few years ago...They were great college players but now in the pros, they are bigger, faster, stronger and more experienced. I suspect it will come at some point, but the ladies really need to get their degrees bc as with all athletes aspiring to go pro, there are no guarantees.

Because the so-called best young players aren’t as good as you think. Also, you have to realize many star college players are literally going to a team in the W with 4-5 players minimum who were just considered collegiate stars within the last 5 years. Not to mention vets who still provide value and/or Elite themselves. The W isn’t a watered down league when it comes to talent. Having polished games, specific skill sets matter a lot in the W due to how few teams there are and spots there are. Because of that teams are less likely to look for the next superstar opposed to a player who pushes them to championship contention who just may be someone who’s a great defender who doesn’t need the ball. Look at Las Vegas. Their core are all in their prime. They don’t need another superstar they need role players that plug in defensively, can hit the 3, make the right play. A lot of times the change from being the #1 player all their life and throughout college to being a player on an established team who now comes off the bench for 10-15 minutes is the biggest thing for incoming Rookies. It’s hard for them to accept and/or figure out their role when being THE SCORER is no longer the need or the option
