Well I'm very proud of him. It is true that he could've picked any school but he chose an HBCU. Justin has always been very humble and publicly gives full credit to everyone never singling himself out. So leave him alone especially if you have something against a white boy going to an HBCU. He has worked hard and always put his all in what he did in high school. If he appreciates our culture of "marching band styles" then so be it. I'm sure he knew what going to an HBCU would intel being on the campus but yet he chose to go anyway. I commend him that takes guts walking into a college like that. And I do agree those folks are walking waaaayyyy to close to the students. It's not only safe due to covid-19 but it also looking disrespectful. I'm having g a hard time separating the crowd from the band it looks sooo chaotic. Please work on getting security to ride in golf carts along side or something. This is a poor attempt to protect the band and the girls to dance. Shameful.

I was wondering what happened to Justin since the whole internet went crazy over him 2 years ago. I'm glad to see he's doing well and still in the marching band in the college of his choice. It's pretty obvious that he loves what he's doing and he does it well. I never got it 2 years ago and I don't get it now why people keep bringing up his race. Let's just support his love and enthusiasm for what he's doing. 😊

Give this kid credit. He’s mastered two unique drum major styles

To those making these negative comments about Justin have you ever seen this young man interviewed? He's humble and doesn't really want much attention. We all understand there are other drum majors. However let's keep it real. Who else came here because of him? People that have never even gave a crap about these bands. That are now interested and are actually watching other HBCU bands now. Just like myself. So don't get mad at him. He didn't asked to be featured on these videos.

One band, one sound, one corps of drum major…a cohesive UNIT! Justin was a class act in high school and has not changed. He is a FRESHMAN, please don’t sabotage his good name! ASU sounds and looks FANTASTIC! God bless your season from the EAST COAST!

I'm glad to see him back as a drum major. He is a good one. I don't pay attention to his race in all honesty once I got used to seeing him. He is very disciplined and his movements are so sharp. Being a drum major is a hard job. One I've never wanted as a band geek myself, and the competition to earn the spot is even harder. I applaud all of those who make it to that position.

The fact that the title is clickbait and people are literally coming for this young boy as if he asked to be the subject of the video. But I guess its ok to expose him to scrutiny for views and money. Showtime Web shame on y'all. Why not have highlighted all the drum majors? Yall knew exactly what yall you doing.

This dude Justin is moving mountains! His journey warrants a journal entry in history books or at a minimal, national attention. He is very-well accepted in the black community. If Martin L. King was still alive, he would be very pleased and would definitely invite him to dinner.

Finally I found a video of Justin in college doing his thing. ❤❤❤❤ Congrats Justin

I am so glad to see JUSTIN in the ALABAMA STATE MARCHING BAND out front where he belongs. He brings attention wherever he goes because of the contrast.

So dope to see Vanilla Funk out there. The other drum majors are sharp. You can’t tell me marching bands are not an art form. A job well done to every single person. The ladies were so poised and in-synced too. Love it. Next time, I hope the staff will try a to have a way to better control the crowd, so they can have room and we can see the marching lines.
