Hell yeah, youre the only one who reviews cruisers, and who doesn't love cruising - the joy in experimenting with flow for getting from A to B, or just joy riding around a mellow neighbourhood

I love the idea of a PDF for different set-ups. That is brilliant. You misspoke about turning radius, though. A surfskate, turning more sharply, decreases the turning radius, not increases. Great advice, as always!

Good stuff! Nice to have concise vids like this to help people have confidence and direction to get an ideal setup for their purposes and get people riding. An important thing to be aware of for those just starting out, is to realize that anything new will most likely not feel natural at first. The human body is amazing at adapting, and you WILL get used to whatever you ride. ANY setup can and will eventually feel natural after you acclimate. Choosing the right setup intially just makes it easier , more efficient, and safer. To a newbie a Surfskate will most likely feel like a wobbly deathtrap. But after some time, your legs will acclimate and build the muscles used to stabilize your balance. Spend enough time on it, and it will feel super stable. Whatever you choose to ride, just be aware that your intial impressions of riding will probably change and develop over time. Be patient, and ride, ride,ride. Theres no substitute for time on a board. You'll soon be rolling around like a natural!

Nice one as always, never had a look a the legasee trucks. I always learn something new from your Videos. Also love the PDF. It's probably the best beginner guide that exists!

@@concrete-waves It is pretty great already! I think what would be helpful is to explain Drops, Microdorft Drop-Through and Double drop, also Bushing seat ;) But I think it is pretty information dense as it is :D

*Another banger edit and topic!* 🤟🏽🤙🏽🤟🏽🤙🏽🤟🏽🤙🏽 I love bein really low to the ground so anythin more than a half inch riser/extra height is offputtin for me personally, not an issue for all in general, more personal preference. Love surfy/carvy rides though. The C5 would be 🔥 I love a kicktail just for the leverage to dig into carves alone, it feels really fun for me. Kick-turnin is just a bonus 😂 75mm 77a Otang In Heats would be the perfect Surfskate wheel for me, I usually prefer 85mm Blue Cags for commutin/cruisin.

Appreciate it man! Ya I can totally understand the height thing being offputtin. C5 would definitely be 🔥but I'm not sure what the height would be with 75mm. Could prob figure something out. I love the 85 cags btw - such a solid wheel!

They're the Landyachtz Gen 6 130mm 50 Degree. I got them on my Tugboat Ultra Carve. For some reason it doesn't look like they're selling them separately but I bet they'll stock them soon

I was waiting the whole video for you to say something about the Carver CX (yes, I know, you were talking about the C5;) For me it's the perfect combination of surfskate and cruiser. A loosened screw on the kingpin allows for tight turns, and a tightened screw works great for long trips with pumping. Additionally, it is a good option for heavy riders. Have a nice day! :)

Ya the CX is another great truck from Carver (my favorite one actually). But I was trying to pick one to keep the video more concise. Have you experimented with aftermarket Riptide bushings on your CX?

@@concrete-waves I run standard Carver bushings (I think 89A) and they work very well. Softer ones would probably not be good for me because I weigh 100 kg. I always take a skate tool with me for rides and I adjust the bushing pressure depending on what I want to do on the skateboard. So far it works for me. But in the future I'm thinking of trying bushings from other manufacturers out of curiosity. I also love CX trucks ;) Have a nice day!

I use my cruiser the most. But my Surfskate is more fun. I rarely use my longboard. Also Surfskate’s don’t need cut outs above the wheels because there is no chance of wheel bite.

@@concrete-waves Carver deck , 69mm Roundhouse wheels, Waterborne Surfskate adapter, Thunder Trucks. There is 3 larger riser pads and one regular under the back wheels.

Good video! There are always really nice to watch :)) How do you like the Zenit 76? I am also thinking of buying them and put some grasp trucks on. Or the Rocket Surf Scout XL … but it’s double the price. :/

Thanks manuel 😎 I really like the 76 shape. Pretty flat and wide, plus the 2 ply fiberglass / 4 ply maple is noticeably thinner than average 7-ply deck. I've never tried the Rocket surf scout but wow it looks incredible

I took a 8.5 popsicle and redrilled the front bolt holes, so the c5 Axle sits where a normal tkp Axle would sit. I love it. m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qZddqrujktGUaKM.html

Hello, sorry for stupid question, but I’m really new to boarding, but I look it for alternative against bike (I move to different countrie where you can’t take bike in train) so I looking for stuff what I can hang on my backpack, I like cruiser 30 inch. Style but then I go to shop, I get confused about long to surf board, what I should get to start riding, what firm I should look to buy (looking for like middle firm not to good but not to bad), and there I now live some times here is a lot of people on streets so, it’s better get surf, but it begging it’s good? So if you can call brand name, type what I should take (cruise or surf) it’s little help to decide, thanks!

Definitely a lot of similarities. Speed on surfskates gets sketchy real quick but they're highly maneuverable in smaller spaces

Always on the cruiser! Haven’t tried “Surf Skate.” Santa Cruz Land Sharks can pull some really sharp turns for carving also. #muffafuzza

its completely different thing. Riding skateparks (especially bowls) on surfskate with the surf moves is something completely different from street skating, cruising. I personally like the fact that on surfskate your feet are mostly locked there but you use all your body muscles / motions. It has nice flow to it. This is something that I couldnt find anywhere else and now I am in love with that.
