Shree Krishna Gaarudi is 1958 Indian Kannada language film written and directed by Hunsur Krishnamurthy based on the story by Bellave Narahari Shastri. It narrates the tale of Bheema and Arjuna's pride being crushed by Krishna, after the Kurukshetra War. The bickering and squabbling among the Pandavas for portfolios allegorizes the politics in the then newly formed Mysore state.[1][2] The movie was remade in Telugu in the same year by well-known director Y. V. Rao starring Jaggayya also titled Shri Krishna Garudi .

I have a different comment on these movies. Although these are devotional these movies are not taken from authentic Mahabharatha. This is a fake story which damages the reputation of Arjuna and Bheema. Same in the case of Ramanjaneya Yuddha, Mooruvaare Vajragalu which are not present in any authentic Ramayana or Mahabharatha.

ಹೌದು ಸರಿ ಇವು ಜನಪದ ಮಹಾಭಾರತದ ಕಥೆಗಳು. ನಿಜವಾದ ಮಹಾಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಥೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ರಾಜರ ಮನೆಯಾನಗಳು ಕೌರವರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪಾಂಡವರ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟು ಕಥೆ ಗಲನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿವೆ
