Ma Saraswati has second incarnation as Shreya, first being Lata Saraswati Mangeshkar. Shreya's extra modulations and punches improvise Lata jee's songs and increase their intrinsic value. I love Lata songs from Shreya more than her own songs. Shreya is my second love.

It's not so easy to achieve it, if she really deserves of it will get it for sure, no doubt about it, but it requires the recognition of govt of India, if it's awarded then what difference will have between the two artists? we know Lata jee is ahead than Shreya in terms of popularity, so govt should consider of it

@@taritkhanra1134 I think Shreya is just completed her half time of her career, she can achieve more and more . She is a phenomenal artist no doubt, but Lataji is something which I can't explain. Shreya needs to work more and more, I respect her as an artist, as a human being , she is an incredible person, very down to earth. I expect from her many good music. I never compare Lataji with Shreya , but we admire these two artists as world class artists.

Nobody covers Lata Mageshkar’s songs as well as Shreya Ghoshal. In fact, she adds an element of softness which makes the listening experience even better. In terms of perfection and skill, there is still nobody who comes anywhere close to the OG LM. Such legends!

Only Shreya Ghosal can sing Lataji's song near perfectly. But I think song "Yeh Kaha Aagaye Hum" is one of her most difficult songs. Even Shreya couldn't get closer. We're lucky to listen both of their songs.

Lataji is a legend then and now. Shreya is no less a legend IMO. I am native Telugu speaker and I can say she pronounces some Telugu words much better than many telugu singers. I've heard from my Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada friends that her accent is just perfect in all these languages too. I donno which other singer has achieved this in India. Shreya is a living legend 🙏

Lataji voice is divine, it smoothes your soul. We just listen her voice irrespective of what she sings or what music is played on. Voice dominates everything. Singers like Suman Kalyanpur, Anuradha Paudwal, Shreya Ghosal and some others have great melancholic voices which compliments Lataji's songs. They sound better when they sing Lataji's songs. Lataji's songs were custom made by music maestro like Madan Mohan, O P Nayar, Shankar Jaikisan, Laxmikant Pyarelal with full orchestra etc.
