I'm so grateful I found you! I'm 16 and I've always had thin, fine hair and around 14 I started losing hair. I'm especially thin in the front and I never know what to do with the little hair on the top of my head. It gets discouraging seeing all those teenagers in their prime with pretty, thick hair they can do anything with. This is a genetic thing I get from my mom. Thank you for the tips! 🙏I will keep trying 🙂

My hair is also super thin at temples and top center. I started to make my own dry shampoo. Half corn starch and half baking soda. Then I add as much organic cocoa powder till it’s the right color for my hair. I use an old blush brush to apply. I just start at one side and keep making parts & applying using the brush. It’s great to hide thinning hair and bald spots. And it gives your hair a ton of volume!

This is the problem I have with doctors. To me, I have clearly lost at least half the hair on my head, especially at the front. The doctors, especially if it's a man with balding, do not see hair loss. They think I'm being concerned about nothing.

i have thinning hair on top, i live on a hot and humid place so a topper not an option for me, and in my opinion the fibers do not look good- they make the hair very opaque, but i bought clip bangs of natural hair, dye it same as hair and it does cover the problem, usually i just split the bangs in the middle and it helps a lot with the anxiety issue of styling the hair due the situation because you can position the clip in many positions.

Honey that is NOT, ABSOLUTELY NOT, thinning hair. Thinning hair is actually seeing the scalp particularly on top. Your hair is actually pretty thick. It might fine hair but that is not thinning & that so called bald spot lol no! Not a bald spot. That was part cowlick & part bad parting of the hair.

I started using Rogaine and I finally see little sprouts of hair 🤗 my hair is fairly long (to my lower back), not sure if you have mentioned this in a previous video but what are some tips for sleeping with thinning hair? Should I use a certain pillow case or put my hair in a pony because I notice that I sometimes accidentally pull my hair when I'm sleeping (crazy sleeper here) lol Thanks! Keep up the awesome vids -Emily

Hi Emily! Welcome and thanks for leaving a comment, you're so sweet. Yay for that long hair and for regrowth! So good to hear. Sure, you can try a silk or satin pillowcase (some people find them too slippery) but what I do now my hair is a bit longer is I use a really high somewhat loose and messy topknot with a scrunchie NOT a regular hair elastic. A braid could work too...you gotta do what feels comfortable for you! I hope that helps! :)

I haven’t watched a lot of your videos yet so forgive me if you have mentioned this already. Have you tried the bumble and bumble hair powder? You can buy it at Sephora and though it is expensive $36 I believe it’s about 4.4 ounces. I have not tried it but from what I know about it it sprays more like a powder. I’ve never seen it I stumbled across it on a video and the powder form may be less sticky.

Hi. I was using Rogaine for over 10 years with pretty good results. My sister told me that one of the side effects could be memory loss so I stopped using it in January. Now My hair is really starting to shed. I just ordered the liquid minoxidil (2%) and it says to use twice a day. If I use twice a day my hair will be oily every day all day since you have to leave it on 4 hours. Any suggestions??

Hey Julie, yikes, that is scary about the possibly memory loss with Minoxidil. Helen has GREAT info on her channel regarding Minoxidil for example there appears to be no difference between the men's and women's except the price. I love her videos. Thank you Helen!There is another channel I follow called "The Hairloss Show" which has two specialist who say you only need to apply Minoxidil once a day and it actually only needs about 20 minutes to fully absorb in your scalp.
@HelenAvery
@HelenAvery 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Julie, I'm not too sure, as I use the 5% as do many women. Sometimes it doesn't look that oily, it depends on your scalp as well. You could try applying it, then brushing it a bit later on to distribute the "oil". You could also switch to foam, once per day, which is stronger but the foam is not oily. Hope that helps!

Hi, Carolyn. I am a thirty something year old female with thinning hair on the top of my head. I had tests done by my primary doctor and have hypothyroidism and PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which both can cause hair loss. I am an RN and know hormone imbalances and vitamin deficiencies among other things can cause loss of hair. I wold recommend getting your blood checked. You can go to a primary doctor or an endocrinologist to start, even a gynecologist. Hope this info helps. 😊

@barretthighschool9508

I've gotten just a regular blood draw to test vitamin amounts and various levels of different things. Normally if you have low iron and low iron storage, it leads to hair loss. You can just get your blood drawn by someone at a hospital or at a doctor's appointment. I hope that helps a little.
