That big bream would be great steamed with ginger, shallot and soy! Or even in Canh Chua Ca!! Got my TD Sol MQ 4000 today. Just got home from testing it out. It’s smooth as! Only caught 2 big tailor using a salmo slider.

What a session! New gear is on fire! It seems like you have way better hook up rate than me recently Yesterday I missed around 6 to 7 bites without a proper hookup, my set hooking technique is probably a bit faulty.🤔

@@ShroomFishingYeah, yakkas have very small mouths, I also struggling to hook bream but I think either the fish is small or my 1/8 ounce jig head weight being too heavy.

You should check out the Ulladulla harbour yakka an Average yakka is about 30-40cm

You know old fisherman would use starfish for bait for Snapper & Grouper in the 1930 depression & bag out on them , anyway i have FD Sahara 500 that i use for Ajing for Yakkas i use 2 lb polyester line works great...

Hey shroom I see your fishing in Balmain east around my area. Just a suggestion someday try out mort bay warf. Me and my mates landed a kingfish there the other day and there is some flatties on the sand banks and lots of trevalley and bream Edit: wait was that mort bay???

Ryan, I wanted to use a common braid most people are using or have used to better understand it as I often use expensive obscure braids and couldn't relate. Also I think an expensive reel helps with longevity of braid too so I'm testing that theory

@@ShroomFishing Daiwa is a quality product. It’ll last a lifetime if you look after it. I’ve still got my Daiwa minicast super ultralight spin cast reel that my dad brought back from Singapore for me back in 1979. 2nd Grade and we sang ‘God Save the Queen’ at school for the national anthem. The fishing was amazing back then. And no fishing licence. And no gun licence. We used to walk along the bank and shoot carp with our .22s and nobody would care. Remember not to let sand in that reel, Shroom! 😉
