@@aMnezia gatekeeping much? Being approachable to new players does not make it beginner friendly. Unless you shoot a wall you don't have a way to know where your bullets are going which can be confusing for new players who see the static crosshair. You always want a game to be welcoming to new players and the matchmaking will sort out who goes where.

Well we only play Dust2, Mirage, Inferno, Overpass and Cache, the first 2 being the most played, so nah we won't get bored.

If you keep thinking you're a noob, then you'll stay a noob for life. Mindset is more important. Have the mindset that even if you're facing ScreaM, it's you who's winning and not him. Will it improve your skills and guarantee u a win? No, not necessarily. But it will give u the required confidence. And my friend, confidence is the most crucial element in this game. If you have the confidence, your aim training will show results. If u don't have the confidence, no matter how much training u do, it won't be fruitful beyond a point. So set no limits. If people are toxic, just mute them and play. Part of getting the job done is starting it in the first place. Every good player out there was a noob once. ❤

I was just like you brother I thought the same, spent 700+ hours playing expert bots and thinking to myself that I am good. Ultra rarely (once or twice in a quarter or sometimes even semester) I was also trying my hands with the games with real player but only to get disappointed for not getting much kills, having 3-4 kills at the best and 15+ deaths or sometimes getting kicked for being sooo bad. Since, I never had any friends who played CS or any other PC games at that time, everyone of them are completely opposite to me in terms of PC gaming so I never had the courage to play with real players as my teammates. But then Valve introduced unranked matches, so I gave it a try. The best thing about unranked matches is even if you fail in them your teammates won't get affected much and also since most of the players who play unranked matches are those who came to test their skills or those who wants to show off so it doesn't bother them much if you are bad, apart from that I also tried my hand in wingman matches. At first in both types I kept failing miserably (super badly). I remember that there was a game in which all teammates of mine were exactly like me and the other team had super good gaming chemistry, they even won a round just by using the knives and we on the other hand were on eco so you can understand the insult I felt at that time. Especially in the wingman matches, since you can't play them on unranked basis so I kept thinking about my teammates that how will they going to think about me being this bad in the game. This ultimately led me to stop playing with real players and again getting back to playing with bots. Now I was in an ultimate dilemma, I wasn't enjoying CS much with the experts yet dumb Bots being my opponents on the other hand the real players were on very high skill level which was seeming impossible to reach so ultimately I decided to leave it for good and thus I uninstalled the game thinking that CS is not for a noob like me. But it doesn't end here. That's when I joined a new workplace and apparently met my office colleague who was a noob yet better than me because he had the courage to tolerate the insults from those toxic teammates who thought that you will be able to play in very first game of yours like a pro. He encouraged me that I should also start playing like that with real players and while playing shouldn't focus on their toxicity or how they are going to think about me. So I gave it another try I reinstalled the game but the very doubt of me being this bad and how the other will be going to think about me wasn't leaving my head. Now, by that time I understood that I solely can't win a game or clutch with my skills unless the luck's on my side yet I always wanted to enjoy CS and wanted to play it with real players so I thought about some other strategies. If I can't kill the opponents then why not create situations where I can make them volatile for an ambush or easy kill or create situations that helps me save myself from being a dumb target, I knew it wasn't easy and was completely impossible against guys beyond silver rank that's why I failed several times as well but those times in which I succeeded makes me actually enjoy those gaming moments even if it was only for a single round. So I started watching some videos on nade strategies and one-sided smokes (one of the best strategies for a camper) and since I already have played with bots for so long I knew how recoil works, the newly learned strategies started working for me. For those 800 hours in which I was unranked and super occasionally played myself against real-players and never got myself to reach any rank, in the next 100 hours I finally able to put myself in the bronze league, though it's not much, I know that, but still a step is a step after all be it smaller or larger. I kept playing with exactly this strategy for very long, first in unranked matches then in the ranked matches, and after a while started changing my style from being a camper to an occasional entry Fragger. I kept improvising my play style. Now I am an S3 and enjoying the game like I have never before. Hope this helps! 😊😊
