As somebody who does Original Oratory, this was a great example. I feel like I’ve even gotten better at Oratory because I picked up on a lot of the things she did in this speech. Definitely my favorite oratory I’ve seen.

Thought-provoking! The difference between being lonely and being alone is huge. One could be lonely in a crowd, and happy being by oneself.

Like my status if you went looking for her Harvard speech and saw this and thought “that explains why it was so epic, she’s had practice.” Bonus points if you did forensics and debate in high school and only now realized -while watching her oratory- just how bad your oratory really was. lol. That Harvard speech was epic. It’ll be one they teach in history classes along with I have a dream, the ballot or the bullet, Kennedy’s inaugural address, and What the slave is the 4th of July. Truly an epic and historic moment in American history.

If your school has the opportunity to take it, DO IT! It takes a lot of time and dedication but you'll meet very very nice and sometimes interesting people :)

I had no idea so many people hated being alone. This is the opposite for me.

Much as you have given a valuable points of view, Life in America can be very lonely and with no day to day support. In the cities of many other countries there is more of lively interaction. It is hard not to have that.

It is interesting to look back at this 2019 speech in light of the subsequent 2 years of opportunity for introspection and solitude.

I'm never by myself. I have the Holy Spirit to talk and listen to. Thank God I'm no longer alone seeking comfort that cannot be attained by worldly relations. Once, your saved, your relationships even with your closest friends and family seem like hate in comparison to your relationship with God. He is with me all the day long, and will never leave me, nor let me down.

There is too much solitude in the US already. With adverse effects. She is trying hard to make people enjoy it. How practical is it?
