She referenced her previous answer, which is basically answering the question. She didn't go into detail, and appropriately so. Questions should be focused on the subject at hand, not red herrings.

NO They don't. These activist reporters often ask misleading questions with false assumptions built in. They use their "question" time to make their own long "statements". Some Governors stop this ignorant behaviour from reporters when they realize the listeners will not hear the question and the Governor will make it clear what the question was ...... so the reporters stay on topic. Perfect Solution

@@321CatboxWA No. That is silly. It is not "anti free speech". A reporter has press freedom including the ability to ask questions but they don't have a "right" to ramble on for 5 minutes setting up a narrative or making (usually false) assumptions before asking a question. In the past these activist reporters would routinely give an "statement" with underlying assumptions before asking their (misleading) question. This stops them from taking the stage. The questions are clearly heard by the Governor and she/he generally includes enough to understand the question. This stops the reporters from comadering the conference. PERFECT !!

However since these videos are not live and already edited to a degree what's wrong with restoring the audio so we need not rely on a politicians brief if not entirely missing summary of the question? More often than not we are left to infer the nature and content of the question asked . How are we supposed to judge for ourself without accurate context ? We can't because speech is oppressed by turning a def ear . This allows the politicians to set the narrative . You go right ahead trust . I verify. Your point of view requires we trust the politicians.

@@321CatboxWA I am sceptical of many politicians but now much more sceptical of the liberal biases of reporters that are obvious in the inherent false assumptions in their questions. In this case Sarah Huckaby Sanders was giving a News Conference on opposing Biden's disastrous changes to Title IX. The reporter gave a biased prelude then asked her to comment on President Trump's trial, which was entirely unrelated to Title IX. It was appropriate to shut the reporter down by her not being heard and SHS dismissing her question.
