Who is your favorite Legend?

Also a lot of these characters have been changed since coming out, Revenant is even totally reworked now. The point you made about the earlier characters being a bit simple is correct, but most every character is viable(or at least viable enough to not feel like you're throwing by picking them) and they all feel fun to me, at least.

Revenant has been "reborn" he has a different tactical and ultimate now. His tactical is a pounce and his ultimate is a shadow shield that grants temporary extra shield that recharges when you knock someone while using it or when you don't take damage for a bit.

The abilities of the older legends are simpler in nature but they are generally still pretty good

27:03 mirage his tactical copies him now, his ultimate is multiple clones of you that copy you and his passive makes him invisible when reviving or respawning teammates.

Tacticals and ultimates are based on time. each has its own timer and some have 2 charges, these days there's perks that you can pick from some of which also give 2 charges to abilities. There is ultimate accelerants that give a certain percentage charge to your ultimate (wattson has a passive ability where 1 ultimate accelerant immediately gives you your ultimate when used). And the map King's Canyon has charge towers that when used give everyone standing on it their ultimate immediately (there is also 1 tower on Storm Point)

The shorter ones are the Origin Legends from beginning :) And I'm not sure if you noticed that Rampart's Voice Actor is Symmetra and Revenant is Reinhardt from Overwatch :)

18:30 no fall damage in game for all characters. Horizon makes it to you don’t get stunned when falling from a high places so you can move faster and get to cover

You should probably watch the gameplay trailers, especially Resurrection and Ignite, because they show the abilities of Revenant Reborn and Conduit who don't have Meet the Legend Trailers.

You get your tactical and ultimate by waiting. Once you use it you have a cooldown. Don’t worry, it’s usually a few seconds to a few minutes.

Just note, for all the clips the people/legends that are being killed already have hardly any health, there is only one weapon that can one shot. Also for Revenant his abilities got reworked and he now has a tactical that lets him leap sort of like Vantage and an ultimate that gives him a shield which basically boosts his health. Last thing, tacticals usually take around 20secs-1 minute to recharge however ultimates usually take 5-10 minutes to recharge. Hope it helped :D (Mad Maggie for #1)

seeing lifeline put a 2 to 4x scope on an altinater, liike that brings back memories

idk if someone has mentioned before, but Apex doesnt have fall damage at all. What it meant with Horizon passive, is at great height it wont slow her down during a fall when you touch the ground like it does to everyone else. same with Valkyrie, you can use her jets before you touch ground to kind of have the same effect. Also Lifeline got a rework on Season 5 when Loba was introduce to the game, where she can res teammates hands free, her drone shield was remove because of people not knowing how to properly counter her shield. and now with the perks she can gain a self revive or a red tier weapon on her carepackage. Yes, I'm a lifeline main and always will be.

The game play trailer brings hype for each season

There are lots of older legends that still get played a ton (Wraith , octane, caustic and Bangalore I see a lot). As for skills, they’re mostly situational, so sometimes the ones that seem great, aren’t always what you need. Like Bangalore’s air strike is powerful sure, but won’t be useful if you’re fighting a team in a building. Pathfinder’s zip line may not seem like a big deal, but it can be a game changer for getting ahead of the team you’re fighting, getting high ground, or escaping the ring as it closes. It can also be used by your whole team, so that’s a ton of options for movement. It’s all about perspective. It’s important to remember you’d be on a team of three as well, so underwhelming ultimates for one character can be balanced by stronger characters. As for Mirage’s decoys. I agree that similar gimmicks in games can sometimes fall flat, but the way Mirage’s work in apex are definitely better than ones that were around in older halo games and the like. You can choose to have your decoy copy your movements, so you can stand behind a wall and strafe, while your decoy does the same out in the open, making it look like you’re trying to peek out. It’s like puppetry. They can be very confusing in the heat of the moment when you’re fighting someone who knows how to use them.

Bangalore just got nerfed because of how overpowered she was. The early characters have always been pretty solid at least.

As a long time apex legends fan, I’ve been loving this apex legends/titanfall content. Keep it up, if u keep making it people like me will keep watching!!!

Actually some legends had a change on some of their abilities, some are small changes for buffs or nerfs, BUT... Revenant has almost completely changed, and he has different abilities now, he was "reworked". His passive for climbing big walls is still the same, but now he is not able to "disable" enemy abilities, and his ultimate no longer summon that totem, meaning that you can´t be immortal anymore.

In my experience, the older/simpler legends tend to be some of the most bothersome. For instance, a Pathfinder or Mirage who knows what theyre doing can be the most elusive/ deadly legend on the map.

A lot of them have changed quite a bit since launch. As for who people use most, it changes a lot depending on if you're playing pubs, ranked or comp. Current comp NA Meta is mostly Bangalore, Bloodhound, Caustic/Wattson. But that varies a lot by region with APAC (Asia Pacific) generally having the most variation. NA usually finds the comp that's most consistent and 80% of teams will stick to that. Pubs are fun picks, so you'll see a lot more Pathfinder/Octane/Wraith/Rev. Or random assortments as people complete battle pass challenges. Ranked very much depends on the season and whatever point system they're using and can bounce between kill race and defensive hard zone playstyles from 1 season to the next. So 1 season you can see Rev/Octane/Conduit, the next Caustic/Catalyst/Wattson.

Older legends are the most overpowered when used well

This is the perfect time to get into Apex. They’ve added perks for legends, which literally makes Apex into a brand new game, and choosable perks that make Legends stronger as the match goes on that you can choose from. Seer and Horizon were the most busted legends upon their release. Seer’s entire kit was legal wallhacks, and his tactical used to literally flashbang you, cancel any heal animations, shows the entire enemy squad your current HP, your current location, cancel YOUR abilities and more.

Still to this day my favourites are Bloodhound and Octane

You were pretty accurate with what legends were useful or not. Like Newcastle. He can pull people into cover or if someone is pressing you. If you have a good knockdown shield then it give your teammates back half health and shields to continue the fight

Majority of the OJ legends are the most used, especially Bangalore, Wraith, Pathfinder and Bloodhound. Even in ALGS, Caustic, Bangalore and Bloodhound are often used

Respawn has updated the first legends a lot since launch. The trailers dont do them justice since they work differently and have better control of their abilities

ultimates are based on time, after a certain amount of time you get them it varies per legend and how good the ultimate is. (there is no fall damage in the game, however there is a small stun when you hit the ground from a high jump. this stun has been eliminated for horizon and instead she gets a small speed boost when she hits the ground) that's her passive

Yooo super stoked you're getting into the game! 100% recommend checking out the apex cinematics, they're amazing and give you a better sense of the lore + characters. The peak cinematic imo is 'Fight Night', beautiful, honestly. And 'Promise' might make you cry. 'Judgement' is also great. For your info, a cinematic is typically released before the character trailer, so sometimes the gameplay vids are continuations of the cinematic. You're watching in the wrong order 😂not that it matters

Its missing a brand new legend forgot its name but it can recharge ally shield from far distances and ult lets her leave behind big orbs of electricity that stops you from going certain ways because of damage

I love playing Loba not only for the thiccness, but her abilities are pretty universally useful and it makes the early game a lot easier for your team when you ping high quality loot through the walls and you have purple shields in the first 1-2 minutes of the game.

The meat also changes quite a lot, so even the simpler older characters can sometimes still be very good! Also, every character can climb walls, but revenant can just climb longer and higher.

First, remember that this is a battle royale, with a ring closing in. So yes you are running, but eventually the ring gets small enough where taking buildings and holding them for at least a minute or two is needed. Having tools to hold or flush out people holding is vital. I think that one thing that is lost with these trailers is how much legends abilities have gotten "power creep" as the game's design has shifted more and more into putting power into legends as well as guns, rather than legends being weapon platforms. Most of the OG legends have had their kits buffed since launch in one form or another. Lifeline can rez people by just walking up to them, her care package is actually usable as a loot supplement as well. Wraith's portal is way better than the Og one in terms of actual usefulness Bangalore is probably the only legend I know that is just worse than her OG state cause her kit is really strong. Bloodhound is basically the same, and for that is meta Oh and legends are sorted into classes now, and have skill trees.

You should check out some ALGS highlights. That way you can see the different legends being used in high level gameplay. I think you'd enjoy more insight into the different powers being used

So not sure if this was said in the comments yet but fall damage isn’t a problem thing in apex so what horizon is protected against is the stagger after falling from that height. Basically while every other legend will slow down for a bit after falling she’ll be just fine

I think it’s funny everyone’s first impression of mirage is that his decoys wouldn’t be that great but with his changes and perks he’s super confusing in the heat of battle. I adored mirage since season 0 he is so fun

The next thing you should check out is all finishers, some of them look really awesome

about the earlier legends, apex at least to me seems like a pretty balanced game and every legend is good in its own way. some may fit in the current meta more then others but as to if they're still used, yeah i think they all have a pretty high pick rate still.

Yes we still use the “older” legends :D and TDM is a good mode, I usually play it.

These scenes are all from when the chars first came out. Nowdays they got updated and in the newest seasen came a perk system which changes a lot to all characters and the use of them. Before playing you maybe should watch a relatively new tutorial or a ranking by a pro player. Than you know what is strong in real gameplay😊

Ash's ult is fast, fast to deploy and fast to charge up It's advantage compared to wraith is that you font have to set it up Wraith has to activate her ult run to a different spot and deploy her ult

The older characters are simpler compared to the newer legends, however they have reworked them in ways where they are still viable to compete against the new characters. (I normally only play the older legends, the new ones are too complex for me)

Ngl Bangalore is for soooo long in the Meta because her Smokes interrupt Controller Aim assists (Controller Player/Console Crossplay) for an amount on time and u can really good exit with her smoke and Airstrike.
