@@jbri1 There's a gigantic middle ground between speaking like a Geordie in the pub and doing a Shteve. Perfectly reasonable to speak slowly while avoiding slang etc when abroad but to actually mimic a foreigner speaking English is just bizarre and doesn't make you more understandable.
