Thank you! Pretty awsome, I plan on adding essential oils too mine and probably use something a little nicer than Irish springs in attempt to make a very nourishing and moisturizing soap

Irish Spring is a harsh soap, these people obviously don't have sensitive skin, 😊

Thank you! I bought some bars of Lume soap (very expensive) because they don’t make liquid soap, but I really hate using bar soap. I’m hoping to convert it using your technique.

i do the same thing using soap from dollar general. it costs $1 to make a gallon of body wash (i'm a bit lazy and use an old food processor to turn soap chunks into grain form )

When doing this, make small batches. Making large batches risks growth of bacteria because of the introduction of water, and things will grow in water. There are preservatives that can be added, but the simplest thing is to only make a couple bottles at a time.

Hi, I have been making body wash out of Dove Pink bar soap for a few years. . I use 2 bars per gallon of water which is 16 cups. Sometimes when it sets up I have to add a little more water. I never have to blend it up the next day before putting it in bottles. If need be I just stir in a little more water and then store it in used body wash bottles or mason jars. Sometimes about half way through a used amount in the bottle in the shower I might have to add a little more water to the bottle. I thicken up more over time in the shower.

I love the Irish Spring scent. Did the scent fade over time or did it stay strong? I wonder if it would be nice to use in a bath with Epson salt
@hollandspinehaven2634 Жыл бұрын
the scent did not change at all.. even after months of sitting in bottles..

All I do is rub my loofah on the bar of soap and it lathers up exactly the same as liquid body wash. Less work?

when the liquid soap cools it turns into jello consistency; when I reheat it turns into liquid but when it cools turns back to jello; what should I do? please reply, thanks... :)

Add more water until it gets to where you want it...

Thanks for posting this video. I tried it out last night. mine didn't come out as thick as yours. I think it's because I had a lid on mine as it cooled off so I'm reheating it now on low heat to see if it thickens up
@hollandspinehaven26344 жыл бұрын
Thinner might work better. Mine is so thick it is hard to get it out of the bottles..

Very informative but the video was disturbing due to the unhygienic kitchen. I’m not trying to be negative about poverty. I grew up poor too. Even in low income lifestyle, cleanliness is possible. Hygiene in food preparation areas is the best way to prevent illnesses. Staying healthy is essential when money is tight.
