Ayelet Zurer returns to us as Elisheva, who is widowed twice and raises a son on her own. Her inhibitions impede her love story with Akiva Shtisel (Michael Aloni).

This show is like a bittersweet dream, you get drawn in and it's difficult to turn away. Ms. Zurer and Mr. Alon are great in their characters.

I learned so much about this particular religious sect of Judaism. It humbled me because the reverence they show is so beautiful, so right. As it should be as how we live our lives loving God , living in prayer and modesty. I so enjoyed the journey learning about these people. 🙏

I absolutely love "SHITSEL" having had Jewish clients in my past working life as a society photographer. Although I never had clients who were ultra orthodox i lived close enough to see them on Shabbat. There have been many times I have cried watching this. It is well produced and feels very authentic. Well done. Can't wait for the next season.

I always wished her to be his wife, stopped on season 2 episode 11 savoring the last, so I am rewatching 1st season and finding things I missed, this show is so well done, you really start to care for these people, America needs TV like this, no bedroom scenes just wholesome TV with meaning... Todah!

Aww....now I know they don't end up together. I'm bingin on this show, just started season 2. I had hopes they would reunite again. I don't mind knowing it now. GREAT SHOW!

Oooh, me encanto esta serie recien la encontramos hace cuatro dias y terminamos los 24 capitulos, fantastica y sobre todo aprendi mucho de la cultura hebrea ortodoxa. Ojala que esten trabajando en la tercera parte y tenga un final feliz. Συγχαρητήρια, μπράβο σας.

Shtisel najlepszy serial izraelski jaki widziałem. A Pani Ayelet Zurer jest super aktorką. To była dobra gra aktorska. Pozdrawiam Panią Elisheva bardzo serdecznie.

Yo también, y espero que hagan la 3ra temporada y que ahí se de un triángulo amoroso Akiva, Elisheva y Libby. Va a estar interesante al igual que si la hermana de Akiva descubre y revelan lo que pasó realmente con su esposo. Wow está trama tiene buena madera y aún hay mucho que se puede sacar de esta historia.

Elisheva termino por caerme mal, le rompió varias veces el corazón a Akiva, me gustó más que se quedará con su prima. Por cierto esta actriz se parece a la actriz americana Sela Ward en la peli de El fugitivo 🙂

Definitivamente siii, me gustaria q se quedara con ella. La union con la prima no me agrada mucho ya q es mas por dolor y desiluciones de ambas partesq se unen, q por cariño sincero. Ademas es nesesario q se descubra q ella no se fue porque ella asi lo quisiera sino por chantaje de su padre. Que hermosa trama de verdad.😉

Yo también. La intensidad de esta relación era increíble. Sin tocarse , sin darse un beso... Era tan bonito... La història con Libby en la segunda temporada no llega al mismo nivel de emoción. Interesante habría sido una relación con la pintora: otra clase social, otro barrio etc.

The New Testament is a Christian scripture and so has no relevance whatsoever to Jews, Chasidic or otherwise.

Smoking tobacco did not start in Europe until the 17th century, so there is nothing in the Old Testament about it. Hence whether Jews can smoke is a matter of Rabinical interpretation, and like many such matters in Judaism, opinion is divided over it.
