3:28 Poor guitarist; he is undergoing a mental breakdown. Probably reflecting on how much of a failure he is; he knows he should have listened to his mother and pursued university possibly becoming a doctor to make his family proud. His first failed relationship still haunts him; Mary couldn't wait for his band to gain fame. Mary had too much pressure from her family to end it with him, since he was going nowhere. He found out shortly after their break up, she met a businessman from the city and now smiles from ear to ear something he never saw her do when they were together. All his songs were made in honor of Mary, but his band could never get that record contact despite how much soul he put into his music. A young and up incoming beauty Nana Mizuki contacted that same agency. She required a guitarist for her music. Needing to make some extra cash and maybe gaining the respect of the record producer he obliged. Years pass and his band still can't make it big, but Nana is blossoming to a pop sensation. He still hopes and prays for his own success similar to his belief that Mary will return to him. Years continue to pass and he has sort of accepted his fate. Now onto the present day, his actions and daily duties have just become monotonous; he has lost all passion in his life. He might be clinical alive, but he has died long ago. At 3:29-3:30, typical human action would be to jump when the flames shot out; but he did not flinch, if anything he wished that the flames could engulf him and take him away from this mockery that is life. The flames also symbolizes himself; once roaring but vanished in almost an instant; he never lived a fulfilling life. Now Nana Mizuki parades on the stage happy and elated for all her success, yet does not have the concern to talk to or possibly seek help for her loyal guitarist. I for one am appalled. Just be strong guitarist and hopefully one day you will smile again.

Nana...sounds nearly the same live as in her studio recordings. Mark of an excellent singer, right there.
