They.... really need to make sure redundant card effects aren't shown. People will just stop playing and quit from match if they have to sit through a slow-death.

I though it would be a fun meme deck when trump talked about the combo so it was the first deck I tried. God was I wrong. Day5 edit: Apparently it was due to being the start of the expac and the deck actually sucks lol. Maybe it's better in the future tho.

Jesus, that deck...Stuff like jade was cancer, but this? This appears broken, at least for now. Maybe there will be an anti Shudderwock deck in the near future...or this card will be nerfed into oblivion.

Sometimes it seems like they don't do any play testing at all.

I've discovered that Elemental Mage is a good counter to Shudderwock Shaman, so long as you can get to Jaina by turn 9. My win rate against Shudderwock with my mage is 100% right now.

Found that the deck just gets even better if you include Ice Fishing and two Brrlocs. You get more ways to prevent damage from aggro, stop Vinecleaver, stall while waiting for more mana/to draw removal options, make Shudderwock freeze the board. Brrlocs are used over Glacial Shard because they have their own card draw in a single Ice Fishing and don't get drawn by Sandbinder

Trump! I have seen and experimented with a Shudderwock deck that is essentially the same as yours, but it has one Lifedrinker for the combo and one baleful banker, so no fatigue, and you get more shudderwock if you mess up.

He is probably going to get the yog treatment to slow him down. Most likely a nerf so he can only use any battlecry once.

You don't have to wait for rope, you can just spam click the shudderwock clones on the board when they are highlighted in green and it will play them when they are returned to hand

Maybe you should consider sunfury protector/argus to be mixed with lone champion for a taunt? Plus it can help defend your mana tide.

The cool thing about this combo deck is that you don't have to save cards in hand, you just play them out. It's too bad about the animation time though. If there was a skip animation button this deck would be amazing (maybe it still is)

In my opinion it's not the combo that's broken- OTK decks have existed in many forms. The problem is the animation time makes it so dang boring to play, watch, and ESPECIALLY to play against. They need to speed up the animations by a lot! Maybe take out the animations and just show the cards rapid fire. The targets are random anyways so who cares about watching all the animations.

You could try a Tol'vir Stoneshaper and a Fire Fly for a guaranteed divine shield + taunt cycle that doesn't rely on a clear friendly board, and that would also permit the safe(-ish) use of AoE battlecries like Hagatha the Witch in double Shudderwock triggers, when it's paired with a Murmuring Elemental.

You know if you were to play only these 3-4 battlecries you'll always have a board full of 8/8s: Saronite, dopple gang and the shaman hero card (not hagatha). It evolves shudderwock to an 11 cost (snowfury giant) and gives you copies of it, or the opposite, gives you copies of shudderwock and evolves them to snowfury giant.

Haven't turned on HS yet for the expansion. Makes me not want too honestly.

Maybe the best way to fix this while also buffing shaman in other ways is to change murmuring elemental from a battlecry to a persistent effect while in play.

Had to come here to actually see this combo playing out because I have wrecked every shaman I have ran into in ladder before they could pull it off.

I built an elemental version. Not perfect, but pretty nice with Kalamos.

It'll be nerfed in a week. If it isnt, I see a lot of people quitting the game. This is ridiculous. The battlecry should only be able to trigger once.

Well i do think that the combo is pretty overpowered, but that is not the problem. The problem is that the combo takes so damn long. If you want to spend 20 mins per game, this is the thing for you

Shudderwock is definitely a 10 on the storm scale (the actual weather meter that Magic: The Gathering uses to determine power level).

The final Battlecies lasted from 22:01 to 25:28 (it even ended prematurely since the enemy died) YOu know what's less fun than waiting for your opponent to rope for 90 seconds? Waiting an ADDITIONAL 3 AND A HALF MINUTES! Good job Blizz. Good Job.

The problem I have is that so shortly after release I encountered that card much too oftenalready. Suuucks!

we have been discussing this in our forums hearthstone thread best/easiest ways to stop this we came up with were: 1) change Grumble to reduce returned minions by 5(to no less than 1) or 2) change Saronite battlecry to read Summon another Saronite Chain Gang--meaning no more multiple shudders and no more 20 minute turns

This combo was so obvious, no way Blizzard could overlook it. The only explanation is that it was intended, which by itself is very disturbing to say the least. A multi billion dollar company that wants their customers to suffer

atleast this deck is interesting. sure beats the rank 19 cubelock net deckers spamming "well played" 24/7 thinking theyre good at the game miss playing and still winning lol

If you could use the tri-class discover to get Tess Graymane in this deck you would end up falling into an infinite singularity of battlecries.

My second game was against Shudderwock Shaman. He was at 1 HP, back up to full in just 3 turns.

Can anyone explain how shudderwock works to me? Why does he need to complete these steps before playing shudderwock? Why does it not matter in what order he completes the steps?

add primordial...Toast did it and it was nice to clear if you didnt have all the steps, like the mage, you would of cleared and you wouldnt rely on getting a missing part on time

After about 50 games in the new expansion I still haven't seen a shudderwock deck on ladder yet.
