Shure QLXD Sync Issue | How To Fix the Problem

One of my Shure QLXD microphone systems would not sync the microphone to its receiver while at a wedding. I got through the issue by turning off the system and replacing it real quickly with one for my DJ set up inside the reception area. Once I got home for the evening, approximately 2 AM I did some research and found out how to fix the problem. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe. Enjoy!

Great video! I have a question about an issue I'm having. I can't seem to solve the problem of Error 008 on the qlxd. I've tried to re-update the microphone 5 times, but still presents the same issue. It syncs and works perfectly with the reciever. The only issue is that the microphone can't seem to calculate how much power is in the Shure SB900 battery. It shows no bars, but work perfectly. Any suggestions?

You can set different displays on the transmitters. See if that helps.

Hope this will save me tomorrow. it would help if you said the actual error code where this fix works. Also, you say they versions were out of sync, but arent you just mixing and matching transmitters and receivers? Seems reasonable that you happen to pickup a mic with older firmware than the random receiver you want to pair it with?

Thank you for watching Christo. The error code in my case was said towards the end of the video but it was "001" for "Mic 2". This information is in the user manual and can be found online also. I was mixing and matching transmitters to make sure that all my mics were all on the right firmware version. Before this problem I literally could sync any microphone/transmitter to any receiver, so once this problem came up at the wedding ceremony, I just simply turn off "microphone 2 and receiver" but used microphone system 8 from my DJ table in its place to get through the wedding. So to be clear at this event I had a total of 3 microphone systems present. If you were concerned if this will work for you, I highly advise you to check your system before your next event. Take notice how I had a problem at the event, got through it with a temporary solution, troubleshoot this problem at 2 AM after I perform this wedding, resolve the issue, tested the system. Had I not been able to get microphone number to back into action, I would've replaced it with another one of my eight units in the contact tech support doing it operating hours for assistance. No señor, la ganancia no era el problema. El problema era que el transmisor de mi micrófono necesitaba una actualización de firmware, así que eso es lo que hice en el video. Gracias por mirar y suscribirse a G Fire Productions mi amigo. No sir, Gain was not the issue. The problem was my microphone transmitter needed a firmware update so that's what I did in the video.
