That's bc for some odd reason Ascension isn't actually registered as "killing" in the code on some like technicality or smth, so ascending stuff doesn't affect reputation at all, no matter the creature

@@junothomas5039 yeah, it doesnt show up on your kill list thing every cycle. I somehow killed more things as saint than I did as rivulet tho. Like, I killed a single eggbug on my riv playthrough and thats it. On my saint playthrough, I killed a yellow lizard, a white lizard, and a red centipede. like actually killed, not ascended

Its like that because ascension isnt actually killing, lore or mechanic wise. Killing something just returns it to the cycle, ascending something is basically like throwing it into the void sea. You are ending their story like the void sea ends the game. Their soul or whatever you headcannon is essentially erased from existence leaving their material body behind
